I've had a brand new gtx 960 for about about a month and almost every time try to play dota it will randomly crash at some point during the game, sometimes several... I've done multiple driver wipes and re-install's and searched through every forum i can find for some kind of solution, i can post my msinfo file if needed thanks Here's the event Viewer entry The program dota.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel. Process ID: 1eb0 Start Time: 01d0e424cce28423 Termination Time: 734 Application Path: F:\Steam Games\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota.exe Report Id: 78f5cb76-501a-11e5-bdfb-bc5ff43503ce Thanks for your time

Is the card overclocked (factory or by you)? Some games don't do well unless you are at what the program considers 'stock' clocks.
What use is knowledge if there is no understanding?~Stobaeus

Hi and Welcome to the forums... It would be helpful if you listed your system specs to include any overclocking you're running. Motherboard CPU -OC'd to what or stock Ram - Mfg'r & speed GPU - 960, OC'd or stock OS PSU Monitor(s) SSD/HDD's Is this the only game you experience this issue on? This kind of info will help other members offer suggestions...

have you tried file cache verification whitin steam ? I do play Dota 2 on daily basis but i haven't played beta version of it for some time, since i'm new in nvidia camp , i saw some optimizations in nvidia expirience for Dota 2 , you can try even that to check if the crashes will still occur. try to verify the cache and see if steam will redownload anything, maybe some of your files are corrupt...

Your specs all look good and since you only have this issue on the one game, it's most likely just a buggy game at the moment.

Yes, as you can run benchmarks all day which tells you nothing about how an actual game will perform when played.

Some users who were facing the same issue confirmed that running both Steam and Dota 2 as admin fixes this issue. Run steam as admin, right click on Dota 2, "properties", "set launch options" and add "-safe". Try it and if that doesn't work then I suggest you contact Dota's tech support.

Okay so valve recently released openGL support for dota so i tried using that instead of DX11 and i've had no crashes so far, it could be possible that my DX was corrupted in some way (Even though i did re install it) Thanks for your suggestions guys and i'll post an update a week from now if this method has fixed it
