Easy - EVGA - Power Meter Advanced - OuterVision Power Supply Calculator Or just add up the Total watts of power for each part of your PC ... use a web search to find values Make Sure the PSU you buy has enough of the Connectors you need  sometimes that means getting the next size larger IMO - PSU should be oversized by 20% of expected Max Watts needed So, if your OC CPU, GPU & other items = 1000W --> then get a 1200W PSU Yes, a 1000W load can work with a 1000W PSU but will it last for 5 to 10 years ? & what about future updates - seems the next gen GPUs are power hungry

Ok this is what I really needed to know. I wasn't sure if I should go with a 1,000w or 1,200w, and now I know to get a 1200w. Thanks again guys for being really helpful. It's always good to buy from EVGA.

Keep in mind that EVGA is mandating that you buy the 1600w Supernova P2 if you are planning on buying their 3090ti Kingpin. That should tell you a lot.. And while I'm sure you aren't planning on getting the KP edition, it should give you an idea for where EVGA's head is at. I'd say you can limp in with a 1000w, but if it were me, id go with a 1200w+ (or more) and take advantage of the efficiency rating of your PSU and try to get to an approx. 50% avg load rating with plenty of overhead for power spikes.

One thing that is worth considering is the new PCI-E Gen 3 connectors are starting to show up. It won't really matter for the 3090Ti but it will matter for what you replace it with but for a 3090Ti it will likely be years before that happens.

We don't have the old units in europe right now, but P+ 1600 and G+ 1600 can be found here. There is also stock of G+ 2000, P+ 1300, G+ 1300, GT 1300, P3 1200 and P2 1200 and ofcourse multiple of 1000w units.

Not sure where you got that EVGA is mandating that you buy a 1600w SupperNova P2 power supply for the KingPin. EVGA recommends at least a 1000w power supply for it. They were just bundling their 1600w P2 power supply with it most likely to get rid of overstock of the 1600 P2 which you can imagine is not a huge volume seller.

Well that is why I prefaced what I said with "buy" and not "use"  . You are correct in that that they stop just short of saying "you must use the 1600w P2", it is sorta implied here. Also, I don't buy that they are just "giving away" a random PSU with their brand new flagship GPU. EVGA is saving themselves a lot of hassle and headache of customers just buying a KP and then just using whatever PSU falls with-in minimum spec and having a lot of customers rage that their systems are crashing to transient load spikes.

Any reason you have to ask and not just get a top-of-the-line PSU given you want to power the flagship GPU? I have one system with a single 3090Ti powered by a 1300W EVGA P+ Platinum and one system with dual 3090Tis powered by a 1600 T2. Each works fine. Neither of the three GPUs is the KPE.
