I sent my Geforce GTX 680 SC Signature 2 series on RMA. And just checked and shows I'm getting a 770 sc back. I paid $479 for the 680 and now I'm getting a 770 $339 card if there were no 680's available shouldn't I get the 780?? Seems strange to me.

Basically same specs only difference is 1gb of memory. This card is closer to my Sig 2 series 680.

Our RMA policy is that if we don't have that part number in stock, we replace the card with one of equal or greater performance. The 770 is indeed a performance upgrade over the 680, so this does make sense. If you have any questions regarding that, you may wish to contact support at support@evga.com.

I did go over the specifications and all and benchmarks. But figured I had a 680 seemed more likely to get another 680 or next card which would be a 780.

Was only able to find 3 games to compare the 680 SC sig 2 to the 770 SC.
    Tomb Raider
    Battlefield 3
    Crysis 3
all which aren't 2014 games. The 770 did show better performance on the 3 listed games.
Couldn't see how it performed playing new Wolfenstein @ max or Watchdogs to compare speed and picture quality.
