So today I went into my local computer store and was looking around at water coolers. I already have one on my CPU and was looking for one for my video card.

So the computer parts sales guy walks up to me and says what do you need. So I tell him that I am thinking that right THINKING of putting a water cooler on my GTX 760 and he looks at me and says they don't have any. I said OK. Now this is the interesting part. He says to me why not get one custom made OK where do you get one custom made.

His response was now they don't carry any and said to me get it custom made was People like me are the reason why computer stores are going out of business because you don't buy out of my store. HE TOLD ME TO GET IT CUSTOM MADE.

Anyways does anyone know what he ment by getting it custom made.

He probably meant to say... "Shoe fly don't bother me". You were interrupting his game he was paying in the back room.

If you take what he meant literally, you could find someone with a CNC machine to manufacture you a water block for your particular video card.... There are a few guys on this forum that do it, but I don't know about making 1 block for 1 card....  or you can go to http://www.performance-pcs.com, click on water cooling in the upper left column, then click on water blocks to find you one that fits your card.  They carry lots of different manufacturers.  It's a good starting point. You don't necessarily have to buy one from them, but I have in the past, and they are real good.

Good Luck.  Let us know what you find and decide to do.

Was it a chain or mom and pop store? Only place near me worth getting parts for a build is micro center, the mom and pop places have limited stock and their prices are pretty insane compared to online.. Not to mention they tend to have older items (ie: last gen CPU, gpu) at current gen prices.. Just my observation..

No It wasn't a Mom and Pop joint. I it is a chain that goes across Western Canada. I just spent like $2000.00 at a month ago.

Some customer sales people really should not be in that position.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA
