I'm getting the same nonsense here with my 680

I've tested my PSU and the +12v is putting out 12v (+12.55) steady. My card had no problems ever until Mists of Pandaria came out along with previously downloading nVidia drivers;
306.23 WHQL on 9/22/12
From today 10/2/2012 back to 9/27/2012 my screen would turn off, the GPU Fan proceeds to blow at what sounds like 100% speed and the computer trys to reboot. Once it reboots, the graphics card fans blows at 100% speed and no image can appear. I place another Geforce 250 GTS in the same PCI-E slot and I'm able to boot the computer to the desktop where I can play normally but not at the same quality as the 680 of course. My GeForce 680 runs cool @ 30C idle to 61C in Metro 2033, Skyrim, Crysis 2 DX11, Alan Wake, GW2...
From searching, I have found articles claiming;
Place the card in another computer, see if it works there, yes, I've done this in an near identically spec'd computer
(mother board is - EVGA X58 SLI LE with 6GB of Kingston Gold 1333MHz DDR3 Triple Channel and 750w Ultra X4 PSU -- 304.79 nVidia Drivers installed)
Removing the drivers and reinstalling latest will fix the problem but, it hasn't worked for me.
Disabling the on-board HDMI sound capabilities but, it hasn't worked for me.
Reverting to earlier relatively stable drivers, this is the only solution that temporarily solves the problem...not permanently
An EVGA representative advised me to check my PSU Rails for efficient voltage, +12v rail, and steady supply. Yes, it maintains +12v(+12.55)
My specs are;
EVGA X58 SLI - the 132-BL-E758 model
Intel Core i7 920 (stock) @ 2.6 GHz with Corsair H50 Cooler keeping at 21C idle to 38C during extended gaming periods
Corsair High-performance 12 GB Vengeance kit for triple channel systems, 1600MHz, 9-9-9-24, 1.5V - "running at 1066 MHz"
EVGA GeForce 680 GTX SC 2GB
Ultra X4 1000w - Modular PSU
Windows 7-64bit Home Edition
Western Digital - Blue Caviar 500GB HDD
HAF 932 Chassis
I am reluctant to proceed with RMA because, if it can be fixed now I can continue gaming as I normally would. If I must I must.
I look forward to useful solutions
