I have 2 fairly simple questions. I use EVGA Precision X 3.03 to show me what my GPU clocks and voltage are so i know if i have any problems. I had turned the OSD portion of it off for quite some time but decided to turn it back on as i wanted to check something.

I noticed that my 2 GTX 600 series cards when playing BF3, would end up being 2 totally different "Boost" gpu clocks. The 2nd card would be 1158MHz, while the first card would be 1058MHz... Is this normal?, shouldn't they be boosting to the same speed?

I also use "Prefer Maximum Performance" in NVCP. and noticed that one of my cards runs at 1.050v while the 2nd card runds at .987v on idle (Keep in mind this is with max performance on). Is that normal too? I'm well aware that no 2 cards are the same, I'm just wondering if it applies to this kind of scenario.

Is there any detriment to me forcing the 2nd card to run at 1.050v like the 1st card?

It's normal with the 600 series.  Even GPUs on a 690 don't necessarily boost to the same.

As for the voltages, don't worry about it.  The card auto adjust voltage levels based on GPU load and your Power Target setting.  Manually adjusting voltages may cause unexpected and unwanted card behaviors.  You should leave the voltage settings alone and use just the Power Target and offsets settings when you overclock.

Same with 670s, it's just like memory. If u have a Golden GPU, but the other 1 isn't, then it will go slower because the lower clocked GPU can't go as fast as the Golden GPU u have. It's very dumb of Nvidia to do this to their customers, But that what those idiots do, but u can OC ur lower slower GPU sometimes so both can run fast.

how is this "dumb for nvidia to do to their customers" ? that doesn't make any sense really........ it's cool that they have incorporated the boost clock, and as long as your gpus are reaching the advertised boost, anything over that is bonus and should be considered a win for the customer.  It's hardly "dumb". I'd call it "awesome"
