EVGA is sending me a classified 3 back in place of my original. I am not up to speed on the 6gb sata ports. After reading reviews apparently the built in 6gb ports suck. I have a really fast crucial 6gb ssd I will be using and a velocieraptor for extra storage. I also have a sata cdrom to hook up. What ports do I hook the drives to for best performance? I also have an Asmedia 2 port 6gb controller card that will work from one of my 8x pcie slots. Should I use it instead ?  Please help me figure this out. Thanks

    Personally I think the expansion card would give you better performance

    If you are running a single drive non raid off the 6gb port, your fine. you do NOT exceed the capabilities of the 1Xe path to the CPU, with a single drive, If you are going to run Raid 0, use the controler card.
