I want to know what do you think about converting a 6 pin to an 8 pin for GPU power supply.
I have a TT 1200 W, with 4rails and 2 rails for PCI_E as V3, V4.
Each of the V3, V4 rails is rated at 36 A.
On V3 are 2 x 6 pin and 1 x 8 pin connectors. Need an extra 8 pin.!!!!!
On V4 are 1x6 pin and 2x8 pin connectors.
I have been researching the net and people think that is ok to use an adaptor from 6 to 8 pin.
They say the extra 2 pins are for extra ground and don’t carry much power if at all.
Thanks.

You have to remember ground is just as important as the positive. However on this type of graphics card we do not recommend going from (1) 6pin to an 8pin.  If you have (2) 6pins in to a single 8pin adapter this would be better.  The last thing you want is the harness melting due to lack of power being supplied and the draw on the 8pin being to great and causing damage to your harness and possibly the PCB connector.
