So I had 2x EVGA GTX 570's in SLI that are working fine, just wanted a boost.

Both were using Mini-HDMI to HDMI connections to my 27" Samsung monitors, which are identical.

I was able to enable SLI and still receive video over the HDMI on both cards to both monitors.

I installed the 2 670's last night using the same bridge same monitors just not using the mini-HDMI cable, straight HDMI from both.

The model is: 02G-P4-2678-KR

I am using the 314.07 nVidia drivers.

When plugged in to both monitors and SLI not enabled, they both work.  Once I enable SLI, it shuts down the second monitor and I cannot use Dual screens.

I have tried using a DVI to VGA adapter from the same card, still nothing, kills all but one display when SLI is enabled.

I ran some tests with each card alone in the system, keeping the precision software up and running the basic 3Dmark tests.  One card pegs out at 1150 Mhz and gets to about 50 C

The other never goes above 850 Mhz, stays at 33 C.    Neither finish the test, or I am just impatient and have to reboot my system after 30 minutes of it being locked up.

Do I have an issue with the cards, or maybe I am missing something with the configuration?

Check for Nvidia's SLI configration tool on google to see your setup of how you need your monitors plugged in to work in  your configration.

if both cards work by themselves without SLI, then it leads me to believe something is wrong with your SLI configuration.

i know this seems kind of basic but i just want to rule out some of the simplest things.
got a spare sli bridge? reinstall drivers? use 2x DVI instead on the same card? reseat the cards? swap position of cards?

EVGA support had me try reseating them and swapping them.  Made no difference.

My monitors are HDMI or VGA, no DVI input.  I did try using a DVI-I to VGA adapter, plugged into the same card as the working HDMI and that seemed to work.  It looks like crap, but I went and grabbed a DVI-D to HDMI adapter at lunch and will try that when I get home.

I am working though if it may be a power issue,  I have an 850w PSU, but when I plug in the second card in and boot up, the mother board will do the memory check then video check and then boot up.  The 850 should be more than enough, since I only have 3 SSD's and 1 BD-RW installed.

I did try the SLI configuration tool, but it does not have 670's listed.  Only 680's and 690's.

Also looking at the SLI tool for a 680 everything has to be plugged into 1 card, where the 570 would be able to plug into both.  I have a good feeling that adapter will do the trick and ordered some display port to HDMI adapters from Monoprice

Both screens need go be plugged into one card for SLI. DVI-D is the same digital signal, so if you have an adapter go from that to HDMI, you can go that route as well.
