Ordering the rest of my build this evening.

So, Im just curious if anyone has one of these.  Trying to decide if its worth the extra $40 over the 2600K at this stage in the game.
I'll probably just clock to around 4.5Ghz, but curious if the 2700K would actually be able to accomplish  that at a lower Vcore than the current 2600s, or if it'll be luck of the draw with either.

Also, the 2700k will work just fine in the P67 SLI board wont it? That is, without a bios flash or anything?
I'll have no way to do a flash if its required.

I thought eVGA said it would be no issue, but I can not find the post now :(

I've also decided the P67 will be perfectly fine for me.   But just to confirm ..
The only difference between the P67 SLi and Z68 SLI is the SSD Caching correct?  Bios, Overclocking etc will be the exact same?
Or would there be another reason I should reconsider the z68 SLI.

 Thanks.

You don't have to own it to know the only difference is a higher stock speed for those folks that don't overclock because there isn't a non-K model.  To an overclocker that is allowed to change the CPU multiplier, it is very easy to make a 2600K = 2700K, might as well save money.
Z68 is a hybrid of P67 and H67, but since most won't have use for the integrated GPU even if the board had video ports, they are pretty much the same.  Play it safe by downloading the latest drivers if the ones on disk are outdated to ensure you're up-to-date.

For Intel processors, 0.122 x TDP = Continuous Amps at 12v [source].

    I recently put together a vanilla O.C  2600K and a P67 for BF3.  I works perfectly. The FRAPS with 2-580's is ludicrous.
