Okay guys. So I set up my system and just started enjoying it. I wanted to watch a comedy show that plays in Windows Media Player. Never had any issues with it and I've had this video for a couple of years! Today, when I clicked on it to watch it again, it plays but the video stutters very frequently (the person acts like a tweaker) and it continues throughout the video. I've tried several different videos now (all on Windows Media Player) and they ALL do this so I know it's something wrong with the settings. It took me a while to get the 4-way SLI properly set up; I had to reinstall the drivers (285.79) and PhysX is on the 4th GPU as is my 3rd screen. Surround never worked with connecting all three monitors in sequence (like when I used to have 3-way SLI; one monitor on each card). Now, monitor 1 is one GPU 1, monitor 2 on GPU 2, GPU 3 is free, and monitor 3 on GPU 4 (which also runs PhysX. I did not change anything on NVCP except for "Prefer Maximum Performance". Does this issue (video stuttering) have something to do with GPU acceleration? Videos play fine on all other players (VLC, Adobe Flash Player, and even YouTube) but Windows Media Player is acting like a muppet right now. All of this happens at stock clocks (855MHz) so what gives? My stage 1 OC is 900MHz in 4-way SLI without voltage tweaks and that is rock solid but the Windows Media Player nonsense still happens with the OC. I already did a couple of benchmarks on my system and some mild OCs but will post all of that with pics on my original thread! In the meantime, someone please help me with this issue!

Little Sister never had any issues with media player in 3 way. is it just in 4 way you have these issues? Me neither. Never had this issue before at all; have had an assortment of cards so I don't know what's wrong. It's got to be something with the NVCP settings or the drivers are borked. It's so frustrating because EVERY other player is okay; I can watch movies/videos all day on them but once I open a file with WMP, it stutters like hell! May be I'll try a reinstall of the drivers. Any other ideas?

How do you run the fix properly? Can you tell me step by step? Also, what are you NVCP settings? Any tweaks or settings that help overall functionality at such high resolutions?

Haydens fix I just runs the eye click inject and start Skyrim. For ur stretched image u aren't by chance selecting widescreen in the options are u. It needs to be set at default 4:3 5:10 or whatever those aspects are and the resolution should be blank. It should AUTO detect the correct aspect ratio.

tcermak FORGOT. To mention u need to put 2560 in haydens eye instead of 1920 Hey man, Yea, I put that 2560 in so I knew about that and I have to say, the picture looks MUCH better now. There are a couple of issues still. The whole thing looks/feels so weird because the crosshair appears in the center of the middle screen and my character (I like playing in 3rd person) is barely visible; his head is visible on the bottom-right part of the RIGHT-side monitor! What is the exact FOV setting you use? Is it possible to have a proper FOV setting to see the character in 3rd person just like if you played on one monitor? First person seems okay but it's still so weird because I was trying to fight this skeleton and as I swung the sword it was "hitting" somewhere else and I got owned! So, some of the settings are definitely in need of some tweaking. On the "Options" panel in game, did you change any of the settings in the "Advanced" menu? Also, when I click "Default" on the Options, it sets everything to "High" quality! LOL.. with 4 GTX-580 CLassified (3GB), you would think it could handle Ultra?! Anyway, I went back into the SkyrimPrefs.ini file and the resolution was 8100x1600px. The other thing that bothers me is I get about 60FPS in game at this resolution but ALL four GPUs show only around 50% usage!! And, going back to the WMP problem, I noticed all the stuttering happens with .AVI files. When I played them on another player (Media Player Classic), they played perfectly fine. So, the files aren't corrupted but it's something to do with the WMP settings. ARRGH, wish I could fix this. I will reinstall the drivers and see if that helps. Thanks for your help btw.

I mostly play in 2st person but u ran open the command window with the tilde key and type fov and whatever fov u like. I play at 80-90 and my character is centered in the screen in 3rd person pretty much. ex. fov 90 hit enter I play on ultra but only have the aa @ 2x and fxaa on. Also using Boris new enb series mod from skrimnexus. Was playing ay 8x and 8064x1600 but some places just don't scale worth a Damn and aps plummet with low gpu usage. I'm happy for the most part. Ready for harden to update his tool so the rest is fixed

Ready for harden to update his tool so the rest is fixed Do you mean "1st" person? What is "2st"? Also, if you increase the FOV in Surround, the side monitors images will become MORE stretched! In BC2, for example, the regular FOV setting is something like 55. In Surround, I had to set it to the lowest setting (30) in order to minimize the stretching on the side monitors. On a single monitor, yes, I agree if you increase the FOV setting, it gives you a larger area to see (since that's what FOV means) but you should NOT increase the value in Surround. In Surround, I put the Skyrim FOV (in the console after pressing "~") at 30. It looks better but it still isn't good because the characters head appears in the right screen and the crosshairs are centered on the middle screen. So if I run forward, he's actually running off to the side. It just doesn't work properly. This is so freaking frustrating.... The other thing that really ticks me off is even in single monitor (2560x1600), where I've turned literally EVERY setting to MAX (FXAA, AA, AF, water reflection, and ULTRA), the stupid game still shows only 60FPS and GPU usage is even worse now; around 20-25%! What the HELL is going on? Is there some setting (like V-sync) that overrides my manual settings in SkyrimPrefs.ini? The iPresentValue should be set to "0" for NO V-Sync right? Can you post some screenshots in Surround? I want to see how it looks for you both in 1st and 3rd person. Also, did you make any changes in NVCP for Skyrim to improve performance and/or GPU usage? Even at 7680x1600, I'm getting 60FPS and only 45-60% GPU usage across all four GPUs. Something is most definitely not right. HELP! Oh, and I tried adding the updated Night Sky mod to the game but I don't even know where to insert that file (skystars.dds). There is no folder called Skyrim/Data. There is "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and then "Data" but that has no folder called "textures". There is a file called "Skyrim - Textures.bsa" but how on earth do I insert the skystars.dds file into that?

Skyrim has Vsync on by default with no way to turn it off in their settings, thus your seeing only 60FPS. Check the gaming forum for a thread entitled - Making Skyrim look and play better. The OP lists a way to force Vsync off, and that does raise GPU load %. You may have to tweak the .ini file more than ultra in order for it to hit 99% on even 2 GTX 580s.
