I only find versions of the SR-2 without the ECP. I'm uncertain as whether I can order one of those motherboards, and what the consequences are without the ECP?

There's a reference to PM'ing to the staff, but it doesn't seem to indicate whether there is ECP availability or not for the SR-2. Can I use something else to achieve the same functionality?

Only the SR-2 version 1 came with ECP.
What they sell now doesn't v2.
But there is this EVGA W002-00-000001 Control Panel 4 for P67/Z68 FTW that I thnk will work with the vesion they sell now.

I wrote EVGA for a confirmation but they do not reply. Is there anyone on here that has confirmed usage of the EVGA Control Panel ECPv4 for P67/Z68 with the SR-2. I'm ordering the SR-2 and could then order the ECPv4 to be shipped simultaneously. I wouldn't want to order and then not be able to use it.

Are there any aftermarket items that could be used instead?

Search here on post about this, I'm pretty sure I've seen some.
They say it works but with some limitations, but can't remember what they where.
Seems like it was you couldn't disable PCI-E slots that didn't work with this model.
But like I said I can't quite remember, so don't take that in stone.

You can't disable CPU's with it, and I believe their to be a PCI-E limitation like you said, also the P67/Z68 ECP doesn't have the 100% fan option. I also can't say that you won't melt something down by trying to use the P67/Z68 ECP. I don't think I would try it.

Thank you for replying. I found out it's not available as a stand alone deliverable from EVGA here in Europe, only in the US. That took some tries, as the EVGA.eu shop is not searchable. Customer friendly? I guess that's partly why they can't bother to reply to my question, not even with a negative "it won't work." On the other hand, that might be because it does work, as forum member delarisch states:

"Yes ... I purchased an ECP V4 specifically for the switches on the front panel. I was trying to diagnose BSOD problems in my build... and found it IMPOSSIBLE to get to the CPU jumpers without having to remove my CPU Cooler(s) every time. Anyway ... the 2 digit display providing the POST/CPU #0 Temp works fine (it is a bit dim but otherwise fully functional). The 4 switches also work to control disabling of the odd number PCI-e Slots. I built a custom cable to allow me to use 2 switches for the CPU Disable and the other two buttons to disable PCI-e slots 4 and 6.
As for the other functions (voltage adj) ... you are on your own... I haven't tried them. I think I'd opt for an evBot rather than using the front panel buttons for voltage adjustments anyway.
That's my experience YMMV! -A P.S. BTW ... it looks WAY Cool in my build ... and having the POST info without opening the box has been a dream for troubleshooting!!!"

As you hint, zophar, it doesn't say anything about things working or not in the long term.  I think it's worth a try, as I may have to turn off and on the Quadro and the GeForce cards depending on software I'm running. So I have to find a supplier that delivers to the EU.
