what kind of wattage PS is recommended for a 3060?

This was helpful. According to this, I should have a 600 Watt PSU. I have a 650 currently, but I'm experiencing power leds flashing at random intervals on my GPU. (Posted in separate thread). Maybe it's time to upgrade.

@evga I have a bad 120mm 2 pin psu fan in my power supply do you sell replacements??

I'm wondering: why doesn't this tool recommend my PSU, an 850 GA, for 763 computed watts of power on Z690 with 1 SSD and OC'd 12700k CPU? Is there something about the PSU that isn't recommended for this kind of setup?

I wouldn't use the 850 GA if they gave it to me for free. That PSU is faulty. I just sent in an RMA because it would not work with my EVGA 3080. They sent me the same PSU and about 10 hours into gaming it shut down the entire PC. I sent them another message telling them what happened and asked if I could pay the difference in price to have one that will work with their card and they just told me they could only RMA it for the same model. Talk about poor customer service! I would be returning these weekly because they are just really poorly made psu's that have a ton of issues. Just Google it and you will see.

Unfortunate. I did Google about this PSU before the bundle arrived, but found a post suggesting that voltage issues were fixed in a new revision of this PSU, and apparently if your serial starts with "21" you're in the clear and have the fixed model. Mine does, so I'm going to give this a shot. Worst case I guess I'll try the RMA route, followed by burning $100 at Microcenter for a different brand.

I'll make a post updating folks on whether or not this PSU works for me as I'm starting my PC build right after submitting this post and should have it online in a few hours. I have a brand new LHR 3080 XC3 Ultra and a brand new 850 GA PSU with the supposedly fixed 21 serial, so this should be a good test to determine if it can handle the card or not.

Mine is working fine. Left a comment in the other thread but I'm seeing zero issues, no random restarts etc. Will report back if anything changes, I'll be using this system for the next 5 years or so.

Yes mine did too at first. This last one I had was ok for about 10 hours of gaming or so then started seeing games drop to 2fps briefly. Then the next time I started a game I was about 15 seconds into a game and the supply tripped and the whole PC shut down. Only the ram was still lit but I had to reset the power supply to turn it back on.

The first one I had didn't show issues until a few weeks after I had bought it but it was the same thing

Ok, good to know. I'll keep an eye out and the original box for the next several weeks to make sure mine is good.

Hi guys im looking for a EVGA 600GD power supply. The part number on mine is: 100-GD-0600-BC. I cant seem to find this part number i find similar ones to my part number but not exact. Can someone help me out lol Thanks!

Please contact EVGA technical support. I think the 100-GD-0600-V1 should be very similar.
