Zuhl3156 I will go back and play with Nick Valentine after I am finished with Curie. That Valentine quest explains all of those holo-tapes I am finding in the jails. I am starting to tinker with DOOM 3 too lately.
I'm missing one tape so I will have to go back and try and collect it.

That mission with Valentine got a bit annoying. Not overly difficult for the most part, but just kind of tedious.

Zuhl3156 Nick Valentine was extremely boring so I am traveling with Curie again. The doctor is still ignoring me so I guess I have to travel some more with Curie. Curie is good in combat. She gets between me and any granades and is dead on with her weapons. I didn't know she had it in her to be honest. I thought Curie was a scientist not an assassin.
Do you know what Curie has for carry weight? Also, does she have a high hit point count? Dog Meat is really getting me in the shoot and stab mood with him. But then he got worse when I bought that other dog LOL.
Dogmeat is always tripping booby traps and getting us both blown up. I retired him to the 'Old Dogs Home' after I met Strong. IDK what Curie can carry but she takes everything leaving a slew of naked corpses in her wake. I have no idea what she's going to do with all of the clothing she is taking but whatever.

Dogmeat was always getting his butt kicked when he was with me. Two rad roaches and the pooch was down. So I gave him a cool scarf and armor and a teddy bear to chew on and sent him to Sanctuary where he hangs out with Valentine and the others. I have yet to meet this other person and I've been doing my best to skim posts about "her" so as not to spoil things too much for myself.

I have to agree that Dogmeat is not the sharpest tack in the box. He is definitely still in his puppy adolescent stage of life. That dummy will attack anything in sight and instead of gnawling on it it he usually gets gnawled. I gave him some welding goggles just to make him look silly.

Dog Meat was at the beginning a push over and the 2 rad roaches was funny and true. LOL I have had him since the start and watched as I leveled up he got better. He stays in the fight longer before going down.

I don't "think" you have to have him along for most of of the quest. But if I remember correctly, you will need him along to complete it. Plus Valentine is pretty good in a fight. I upgraded his default pipe pistol to a heavily modded laser pistol and he can hold his own. And yeah, Dogmeat has blown me up a few times. I'm in here yelling about "that damn dog" and my real dog is just looking at me trying to figure out why I'm mad at her.

I see that I am not the only one that yells at Dog Meat. LOL What irritates me about Dog Meat is that if I stumble across a mine that I can't see but can hear (never fear) he will be between me and my escape and won't move. But to be fair, I think that could also be said about the rest of the companions. LOL Do you know what the carry weight is for Valentine?

I finally got to flirt with Curie. Curie is a lot sexier than Cait but that French accent is overly exaggerated IMO. Cait = 5'7" 34-B, Curie = 5'9" 36-C. What? I'm observant! Just saying. Jeez! Lighten up, guys. We had to defend the outpost I built at Starlight Drive-in and ran into Piper. Piper said 'Hi' but with one of those looks out of the corner of her eyes. Maybe I'm being paranoid but I think Piper is jealous. When I dismissed Piper I couldn't send her back to Diamond City so I sent her to Starlight Drive-in because it needed more settlers and I didn't want her and Cait plotting revenge against me in Sanctuary Hills. I ran into Nick Valentine somewhere too. I'll have to find him for that quest since I don't remember where I dismissed him to. Fun, fun, fun in The Wasteland.

I finally got rolling on this game and it is so much fun! I think I made the same mistake on the other Fallout games but I am so worried that something might be useful later so I am hording all this crap around with me and I eventually have to drop some of it or in a stash somewhere. I think I remember doing that with the other games only to find that 99% was useless or easily replaceable.

I have that link somewhere in my bookmarks. I was always curious what my companions could carry. I tell Cait to check out a dead Raider and she snags a bunch of stuff from the corpse. When we get back to Sanctuary I take a lot of useless junk from her but when I try to give her something useful in return I am told that Cait can't carry anything else. How she can manage to carry that much junk to begin with baffles me.

If you are at Sanctuary or any other settlement just unload your "junk" into the work bench and your weapons and armor into a storage container. I kept the best weapons and armor and sold the rest. If you have made it to Diamond city you can buy a home there and safely store your weapons and armor. Also, Diamond city has the best general store and weapons/armor store. Don't sell your "junk" as this has value being used on other things for settlement building.

Hmm... It would appear that Dogmeat is somewhat of a pack mule. 150 lbs. For me, the main reason that have a companion tag along is so I can load them up with crap. Bethesda's companion AI has always been a bit crappy. I think I shoot my companions almost as often as I shoot the enemies were fighting. I draw a bead on the baddie and then my companion jumps right in front of me and takes the bullets meant for the raider/mutant/whatever. No concept of a field of fire whatsoever. Yeah and lets not forget what happens if they manage to get their hands on some grenades. Piped got ahold of some molotovs and killed me instead of the person we were fighting.

I don't know why both Cait and Curie leave so much ammo behind after they search a body. Ammo doesn't have any weight to it. Whenever I loot a dead Raider I get lectured by Curie about how a coroner should be doing that and shouldn't I wash my hands after that? Sheesh!

I never send my companions to search a body that I just fragged due to the fact that they always do a lousy job. Im always the one rifling through the pockets. And I am a serious packrat. I have cabinets dedicated to specific things in Sanctuary. One for combat armor, raider armor, metal armor, etc. Plus always dumping all the misc. junk into the workbench.

I worry about storing things in the cabinets at Sanctuary. We're talking about the same settlers that are cannibalizing my Power Armor. Who knows what would happen if they found one of my weapon stashes.

That's what I use the companions for also. I also shoot my companion but according to Bethesda, Dog Meat doesn't hold that against you as the other companions do. "Piped got ahold of some molotovs and killed me instead of the person we were fighting. Cut Piper some slack. Considering that she got dumped by Zuhl she probably suffers from some Zuhl disease and is taking it out on you. LOL

I am curious if anyone else has notice something like this....I returned to my Red Rocket station and saw Cait at the power armor work bench working on nothing, but the curious thing is that she had a Pip boy wire coming out of her arm with no Pip boy or anything attached to it. It was just floating in air.

I bought the house called "Home Plate" in Diamond City. The place is a dump! It definitely needs a little work. I'm still trying to romance Curie but keep getting shot down. Maybe some Power Armor will cheer her up a little to warm her up to my charms? I'm still looking for that billboard to find some additionall side quests but it eludes me still. Curie is always talking about medicine and men of science. Maybe I'll introduce her to Virgil and see if they get along.

The bulletin board that you are looking for is along the same path (same side) as the general store and armor store. Face them and then move to your left. Walk almost to the end and look to your right for the word "WANTED". This will give you missions but as of yet there is no Cap reward. Note: This will give you 1 mission at a time and you must complete that mission to be able to get another.
