I can confirm that not only are companions immortal but some key characters can not be killed. Sometimes I will save just before an important decision comes up and I will play through it to see what will happen if I murder everyone in my sight for the fun of it. Or sometimes I will get as far away as I can and lob a grenade through a window with a bunch of friendly's standing around and then I hurry up and sit on a couch unarmed like this....

But unlike you Pinocchio her nose is tiny.

I keep killing both Toms, the real one and the Synth one. No sense in taking chances. Can't say how many times I have run into these two. Sometimes the real Tom has already been killed by the Synth replacement Tom. Another doofus I keep running into is that geek selling credit cards. No matter what I decide he calls me a Retard so I just kill him right off the bat any more. He keeps coming back from the dead though. Maybe he was a quintuplet or something. Definitely Zombie material. That sucker just won't stay dead.

Walking Dead maybe?

I like to buy my bullets from the diner. From time to time those dope dealers drop some stuff that's sellable.

It was that way for me also but now I don't see any targets to shoot there.

Trashcan Carla was / used to be a roaming vendor until I started some Sanctuary quest or crossed paths with her. Now she seems like a permanent fixture in Sanctuary though she is supposed to travel between Sanctuary and some diner where the dope dealers hang out. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Trashcan_Carla

I knew/know who she was.  I think what makes her show up is when you start doing the mini quests to build beds and stuff in Sanctuary.

And yeah, she seems to hang around Sanctuary alot.  Before the 1.3 patch her brahmin would end up on the roof of the house that had all the tool benches.   I didn't actually know about that little diner until I restarted the game, then I managed to find it.  Killed the dope dealer.  Figured guns, bullets and other items were better to have around than a dope dealer.

It still does or inside the room also. I saw that and couldn't contain the laughter.

Stupid cow.  Get out of my living room.

Okay, we're going at it again.  Any bets at how long it will be before I get dist...    Oh look. I don't remember that building.

Isabel is always sleeping no matter what time of day I go the The Mechanist's Lair so I went into 'sneak' mode and finally found Protecton's Gaze on her. I picked her pocket and took it and then that Eye-bot that guards her snitched me out! Boy, was she ever mad too! She activated her Stealthboy, stole Protectron's Gaze back from me and proceeded to tear me apart. Rather than kill her for a stupid laser pistol I loaded a previous save. I like Isabel because she reminds me of Abby on NCIS. Lesson to be learned: Don't mess with Isabel! She's vicious!

Tuesday, the 12th, Bethesda releases the next DLC. From what I have gathered it will be dealing with settlement building and allowing more options for it. One option is the planter box. I know a couple settlements that can use them.

What did she ever do, period? Lazy old scrounge just stands around being grumpy. I can't assign her any tasks I guess because she is already some kind off roaming vendor. IDK if I can rub her out or not. Maybe if I could find a way to trick her into entering some Power Armor and then removing the Fusion Core it might keep her confined for a while. Since I can't assign her any duties I don't think I can order her into a cage either.

I can't really say that Trashcan Carla could/would be able to "get around" ... But since the people on that game are dealing with a very catastrophic event, I could see they might take anything!!

I think she can be killed.   I'll test that out here in a bit.   Snipe her from cover so no one spots you being antisocial.

Think of it as a  ummm  a casket for all the dead animals that will lose their heads (and be mounted on the walls of your humble abode) in the fight arena for which the unused remains will then be used as fertilizer. We need to keep the Wastelands prim and proper you know. LOL

Mama Murphy? She just wants some Chems. Too old for rehab so I just make her day once in a while. Nobody likes it when I kick her down some and they all let me know about it too.

Re: Fallout 4 2016/04/09 16:23:17 (permalink)
I've been playing this game all day and sadly, I am at the point where the game is broke for me. I don't mean that I have corrupted saves or I am stuck in the wall or anything. What I mean is when you get to the point in a game where you figure it out sort of speaking. Like when you already know how a Npc is going to react or when dialog options are going to come up or when a turret is around the corner. I am at level 70 and I am nearing the end of the game and I think I am just going to finish it. I had a blast but it's just time.
Does anyone know what I am talking about? Kind of like when you play an old nintendo game and they make all the secret entrances or places where you can bomb one shade different or change a pixel or two and after awhile you can just see them without trying? Or when you figure out how to clip in a doorway and all the enemies are just easy after that?

I have over 300 stempacks and whatever mission I am on, it seems all I have to do is take even a weak gun with a suppressor, crouch down(for the 3.5X sneak perk), headshot, press Q as I walk in to check and it's done. Even a legendary deathclaw or something big, I just run up and shotgun it in the face, stempack and move on. I will say the minigun ride in the verdabird was a nice change of pace but I think unless Piper all of the sudden pulls me in a room and has her way with me, I think I am going to wrap it up. Definitely a great game, I hope if they make another one, they keep making changes and make it as fun as this has been.

There's still a lot of options. Diamond City Security told me that the Mayor has it in for Piper who is just starting to 'flirt' with me so I smell another mission coming on soon. Piper keeps wandering off to 'interview' anyone in sight like a typical reporter. I haven't unlocked Bunker Hill yet either. I'd really like to add it as a Minuteman Settlement and use the Workbench there. Plenty of Rogue Robots to kill too now.

I keep finding new places near the Cambridge Police Station. I found a new Raider camp and a Cafeteria. I found some High School too. IDK if they were always there or part of the DLC. Anyway, just reached level 100. Woot!

There's a whole bunch of thing all over the place. I keep finding new places without even looking. LOL

Did some missions with Danse until I made him very angry. I killed that initiate that was stealing food. But it was in self defense. So I dismissed him.

Decided to try Cait. She can talk a lot and she is busy house shopping. She goes into the bathroom where there is a shower and then looks at her hands. I have a funny feeling that she is high maintenance. I'll have to keep an eye on her and my wallet. She also wanders a lot.

I kept getting fragged and didn't know where the grenades were coming from. I looked everywhere. Closest Super Mutant was way across the map. It was Piper! IDK where she found the grenades because I search the bodies first and take all of the junk and caps leaving her only ammo and a weapon here and there before I tell her to check it out. Piper throws like a girl. She's tossing grenades at enemies on the other side of the map and they are either hitting me in the back or landing at my feet. I should reach max affinity soon with her. After I finish any extra missions from her I am going back to get Lazy Bones MacReady again. I already snagged several Missile Launchers before she did or I'd be toast and the Power Armor I gave her would be in ruins. I'd better check her inventory for a Fatman before she kills us both.

It would come in handy at places like Starlight Drive-in to plant more crops since there isn't much dirt over there. It better come pre-filled too because I'm not going to go looking for dirt with a shovel and wheelbarrow. Up next - assigning settlers to dirt fetching duty!
