i dont think theres a clip, you just need to wiggle the wire out. if you have needle nose vice grips you can gently grip the female portion along its length without squeezing too hard as you laterally, the male end, wiggle it, just a little bit. if the female portion comes right off you can carefully slide it back, and it may be easier to get the male end out.
