if v3 xeons are unlocked it will worth it to upgrade to a 8+ core cpu and have quad channel DDR4
but agree this sr-2 setup is art.

This is nicest type of watercooling EVGA SR-2 - Koolance huge waterblock.
I imagine how much is total weight of Mobo with processors, waterblock and memories...
 

I'm not sure but maybe for two best Xeons for SR-2 and a lot of DDR3 memory I would replace mine X99 platform.
But only with this Koolance waterblock.
 
 
 
 
 




I still have that waterblock. I had to remove it when I exchanged the SR-2 for the X299 Dark
