It’s seems like evga just launched 3080 12GB card out of no where usually they tweet ahead to inform elite members also gives 24hours to join the queue but it seems like it’s closed already…can we expect 24 hours queue for 3090Ti ?

That was kinda of a small batch but will be opening it again so I would keep an eye out tomorrow morning.

As for the 3090Ti, Nvidia could have a release date but ultimately, it's when EVGA is ready either on the same date or passed that.

NVIDIA did a stealth launch, has nothing to do with EVGA.

NVIDIA didn't even provide a review driver for tech industry/youtubers to test the card before launch. They did not want coverage or advanced notice before launch.

Why? Because this is a cash grab launch. Reviews are going to be critical of a near doubling of the 3080 MSRP for 2GB more VRAM and very (very vary) modest increases otherwise.

But this is what the market will bear so OG 3080 will fade into oblivion and this is what you can get if you don't want to go to the 3080 Ti, but the prices are so close just go for the 3080 Ti imho. This launch is just to put the 10gb 3080 out to pasture and up the price to reflect the market.

What's the mysterious thing on the EVGA main page for the 27th?  Seems to coincide with the rumored release date.

Spot on.  This lifts the MSRP for all of the cards to the levels of the current Ti model.  No more "I'll get nearly the performance of a Ti for 65% of the price".  It's not just scalpers that are the issue.  The MFGs are seeing that they too can boost prices and the market has to absorb it because they have no choice.  This is why having 1 or 2 companies making any given product is always, always, a bad idea.
