Heyy.
I’m looking to buy a water block for my card but I’m having issues finding a block that says my card is compatible since I have sort of a odd card. I purchased the Best Buy exclusive 1080. The number is 08G-P4-6282-KB. The card looks just like the card listed as 6181 on the EKWB website as compatible but I need to make sure before I spend the money... help?

You're right that it is hard to find good information about this Best Buy card. Best Buy requested a special part number from EVGA so that it wouldn't have to price-match against other venders with different part numbers. I don't know its exact equivalent to a similar card with a more "normal" part number.

To be sure, submit the inquiry to EK using the following instructions:
https://www.ekwb.com/configurator/newhardware

ASRock Z77 • Intel Core i7 3770K • EVGA GTX 1080 • Samsung 850 Pro • Seasonic PRIME 600W Titanium

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately EK did yield any better info. Said I’ll have to take my cooler off and compare pcbs from a pictures to find out what my model is equivalent to. Kind of hoping to avoid that for now if possible. But may be my only option.

That looks like the model number EVGA might give to a B-Stock version but you'll have to check, if so it should fit a founders block just fine.

-RX = BStock

-KB = Best Buy model

I doubt there's anything different in the design, most probably just the same founders PCB with a best buy model number sticker on it.

Didn’t even mention pcb. You stated the KB model designation looked like something given to the BStock.. I was clarifying that it is not.

On the fact of the pcb, Best Buy only changes the part number. The pcb isn’t special. It would be the same pcb as all other SC models. Reference pcb.

Thanks for all the replies.

So if I’m looking for a compatible water block what more common model number should I look for since mine isn’t listed?

Make sure you right click and “open image in a new tab” so you grab the jpg link. Should look like this:

Then link it through image:

There are plenty of evga 400-HC-5699-B1 blocks on ebay. EK also makes blocks for the FTW3.
