EnGenius Technologies Inc., a multinational wireless networking company, known for delivering future-proof wi-fi solutions for consumers and businesses, today announced ESR580 - the company's latest consumer tri-band smart mesh router. The new member of the EnGenius family delivers fantastic price-performance mesh networking value to both entry-level IoT consumers and seasoned technology enthusiasts who demand all connected home devices have the highest-performance bandwidth. The new product meets the requirement for more reliable and affordable home broadband bandwidth that matches the ever-growing needs of modern smart homes.

The ESR580 comes in a pack of two (MSRP $249.99) and can easily expand to meet any homes needs with additional ESR580 single packs for MSRP $129.99.

Personally I find the price a bit high but maybe that might be negated if the quality is good.

That is a little high on the price. We used EnGenius wireless products when I sold surveillance cameras. It is a solid company, quality products!

ps they have been around quite a while. I remember they sold a cordless phone that had a 20 mile range. Analog in the 300Mhz range if I remember correctly.

That has been outlawed but they still sell long-range cordless.

    The ESR580 looks pretty cool!

It's not that bad but Wifi6 is starting to roll out so I don't think I would want to invest in something not up to the latest standard at this point. Of course Wifi6 looks to be very expensive right now.

802.11ax is not quite finished, the standard is expected to be published late Q3 or possibly Q4 before the references are done

One of the features is to support 1 GHz to 7 GHz so that as new bands become available then hardware can use it.

Intel is working on the Wireless-AX 22560 with Harrison Peak codename. I have a few wave 2 9260 cards I am using now. Will not be long after 22560 ships before it surfaces stuffed on a PCIe card
