Yes, the desk is really that short, because Im short legged! The desk isnt finished, but wont take much more to fin. I dont have a shop to work in, so, I had to make do. With my fibromyalgia getting worse, I needed something now, and at the right proper measurements to my needs. https://www.ergotron.com/en-us/tools/workspace-planner My monitor will be getting a vesa_mount setup: Ergotron MXV Desk Monitor Arm https://www.ergotron.com/en-us/products/product-details/45-486#?color=white&buynow=0 The keyboard, mouse, chair/chair height, wrist_rest also need to be proper placed. Ill be adding a acrylic or polycarbonate topper to the desk, Ill add more pics as things progress forward... Knight'

If the compartment on the right is for the tower, no harm in drilling some large holes for ventilation. Let me know if I can send you some hole saws or anything I can spare. Good luck.

That is a Nice home made desk 3/4 inch birch plywood ? Planning on a partial back, out of some 1/4 or 1/2 inch plywood to tie the legs & top together ? It is amazing what you can do with just a circular saw & a router ... nice (faster) to have some big tools (table & radial arm saws) but it is not needed. I've made cabinets with just hand tools If needed, add a couple of inches between desk & side wall. Also you could add some case fans if heat becomes an issue & wire them through a thermostat if you want to get fancy

There is a 1x6x48 pc on pine on the upper backside. The inner side wall will get venting “drilled” holes. The desk will get nice and neat cabling for all the cables. I’ll be adding a a laminate sheet on the table top, and the rest of the wood will be getting, https://www.rockler.com/odies-wood-butter-9-ozEdit: is birch plywood.

What sort of monitor stand is that? Does it go through the desk top, or a clamp, or just leaning up against the wall? If you have a link for it, would be appreciated - might solve a few problems we have at home with some monitor stands as our desks are very narrow in depth due to necessity - home office space is a little tight with 2 desks. Thanks.

No, those are not at all the same, I already have something like that, I was asking Knightsilver about that specific one, if it is a clamp or through the desk, even requesting a link - is your name Knightsilver? No. Were you able to answer any of those questions? No. Was you answer completely unhelpful and yet more of your continued passive-aggressive nonsense stalking my posts and adding little rolleyes icons? YES. You must really want that perma ban.

Looks like you have some nice ideas Knight. The finished product will be nice. I am wondering what the cut-out is for in one of the drawings? {probably self explanatory, but I'm slooww} Be sure to add some corner braces at the minimum.
