Nvidia said all along that demand would exceed supply into Q2 2021. They said this last summer. I don't know where you got 2022 from, but I would be interested in reading about it if Nvidia has changed their forecast. I haven't heard anything though, so I'm sticking with late Q2 2021 until new information becomes available.
I'd be surprised with the way things are going if the demand stops exceeding the supply until late 2021/beginning of 2022. There is no way it gets better before that.

if they knew this would be the case, smart move would of been to stockpile the cards way before release to be able to stem the tide a little bit more. Poor planning on Nvidia's part.

I bid on an EVGA 3060 on the NewEgg Shuffle yesterday but did not get it.
The cards on today's Shuffle, mainly MSI cards, seem very expensive, so I did not bother bidding.
I'm fairly close to a 3060 on the queue--I think. I'd rather get a 3060 TI, but it looks my turn on the 3060 TI queue will come around the time hell freezes over

I put in for the asus strix rog card. its a 3060ti so it has more value than a 3060 I also put in for a b550 mobo as I can do a new 11th gen build with it.
I almost have all the parts for a 11th gen build. waiting on the mobo and the cpu.
This will be for my good friends wife.

It looks like another week of no 3080 xc3 ultras. I did manage to get a AMD 6900XT in person at a microcenter two weeks ago on the one day I was in Dallas where a microcenter exists. I still want that 3080 though, I already have the hybrid kit sitting here in my office ready to go, since I thought that my 50 minutes would pass fast after the Christmas break. It's almost like they stopped making the XC3 ultra cards. My son would enjoy a water cooled 3080 for sure. I guess I can wait now without needing to hope it finally drops since I'm all carded up and my son now has the 3070 I got from Newegg in November.

They tried, I think. They stopped producing the 20 series mid summer remember? In hopes to stockpile, but seems like it may have been an attempt to help for low production before release.

It's funny how some SKUs have little quirks. Most things are obviously moving by a few seconds or minutes, especially in Day One, but 3755 at least likes to creep/stay silent like everything else and suddenly jump 50+ hours. I would've assumed that that's a gap in self-reports, but maybe it has something to do with Notify Queue awareness/popularity at that time, along with the actual part/tier popularity.
Anyway, 3755 specifically is the part I'm hoping to take home -- ideally before April 16 -- so special, selfish grats to anyone picking one up this week.

Dallas was a line that started forming the night before, but they had started a registration process with a 90 day wait after you get a card so the line was short as the scalpers couldn't get yet another card. I got lucky in that they had a large number of cards come in that morning (the day before they had no cards come in), I got there about 8:20am and there was only about 25 people in line and they started passing out the vouchers at 9:00am. They had run out of 3080s by the time i made it up front and they had lots of 3060ti, 3060, and a few 6900xt so i got the xt since I already had a 3070 (my son has that card now) a 3060ti would be a downgrade. I saw at least three people in line in front of me get turned away for already having got a card in the past week.

Basically it similar to EVGA waitlist, but it cleared every day( you have to reserve spot each day) and because it retail store, you have to be at store to make a purchase. And you " buy window" not a 8 hours - if they call you and you is not here, they call next person in list.
