bhogoboom Got my 3060 notify! Tiding me over until I can get the 3080 FTW3 and I can sell this to my brother (at a family discount, of course), but it will be a welcome upgrade to my current GTX570! Thanks for all of your work enewt, I'll be using your associate code! 2/25/2021 9:29:37 AM PT Yes 9/21/2020 3:20:20 PM PT No
Will be interested to see if it makes it all the way to 9:30. Numbers seem to suggest 9:29-9:31 were really high across both 3060 launches. If straggler drops for 57 make it to 9:30 or beyond, then it might give a good pace indicator until 10AM. Fixing drop amounts per week.

Yeah, 9:30 was about the time the website was back up for a lot of people. Wouldn't be surprising if that is when a major bottleneck occurs.

Several 3060 ies, one 3060ti on Newegg shuffle today. I think the ti is an ASUS, the rest MSI graphics cards.

The website came back up around 9:19 for me and crashed again right after I put in my notify request. Was about 10 minutes before it came back up so I imagine there is a lot of congestion around that 9:30 mark

If they can keep up with that ~20hrs/drop for the 3080 Ultra, I'll have my card just after the tariff hike. That is if they dropped every day at that rate.
Yup, looking forward to paying even more. Sad this is the only way to "reliably" get one one without spending even more on a bot and worth while tracker.
Tempted to go that route before April 15th.

Good luck. I also play the newegg.com/product-shuffle game. I always lose, but some people on here have won. There's a 3060TI up today if you want to enter that lottery.

Keep an eye on Best Buy on Tuesdays and Fridays. Have had a bunch of drops. Only other option would be to buy a prebuilt.

Also, if you happen to be or will be near a Micro Center, they don't sell online. I hear there are still campers there, but it's worth a shot if you get there a little before they open. I don't, so I may just be spreading misinformation. I'm not sure where that fell on Bora's list of definitions of information. Something in an unreliability zone.

Chief_john Im in queue for 3895 09/16/2020 00:00:00 (Not Moved at all) 3883 09/16/2020 11:01:20 (0 days, 11:01) 3895 HAS HAD 0 CARDS SHIPPED. Im really disappointed in EVGA. Why even offer it for sale?
I haven't looked to see if any 3895's are popping up on eBay, but the reason why some of the queues have not moved is because those SKU's are being sold through other retailers. They are for sale somewhere, EVGA just isn't selling them through their store. It might even be the case that a single retailer is being given access to a specific SKU to make it "exclusive", and/or to make it easier to ID where the item came from. It's a common practice in the retail industry and has been for a long time. For example, if EVGA sends 3k 3895's to one particular retailer and ALL of them show up on eBay a short time later at a 100% markup, it will be clear what happened, who scalped what, and who is about to get hauled into court. Due to the supply shortages, I wouldn't be surprised if it's THE reason why EVGA is doing what they are doing. They are keeping tabs on where the cards are going. Even if 60 3895's pop up on EBAY from a single seller they can investigate the retailer who sold them and find out if a store employee is responsible, etc. Since EVGA is sending retailers exclusive SKU's, in return they are keeping a few in-house like the hybrids, HC's, kingpin, and probably they upcoming 3080TI as well. A percentage of those are still going to scalpers because anyone can get a time stamp, but it's a much smaller percentage than what scalpers nick from retail inventories using bots. I'm glad that EVGA kept those SKU's in-house. Your situation is unfortunate, but you can't blame anyone but yourself. The price difference between a 3895 and a 3897 is only a few dollars. I signed up for both along with a couple of blacks on the evening of 9/17. I knew that I was a little late to the party and that a lot of people had already got a time stamp ahead of me. As it turned out, I would have had a 3897 at the beginning of December if I had not canceled the auto-notify later. The way everything was spelled out, it seemed pretty clear that getting multiple time stamps was a good idea, especially since the price differences are next to nothing when you consider the price of the card. It's not like you HAVE to buy the card when you get the email. I have read a number of loud complaints here from some who ONLY signed up for the cheapest SKU's for some reason, and are mad because they still say 00:00:00. I don't get the reasoning.

PSA for the years to come: whenever queues come up for a new generation of cards pick EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Then after while you wait and as you receive the notifications decide which one you want.

Sure, but no one expected that we'd be six months out and still not seeing any cards and I doubt people expected that we'd be in the middle of a global silicon shortage that may -- optimistically! -- last into 2022 before we see relief. At the time, picking the card you wanted and thinking "I might have to wait a few weeks but okay" was a rational assessment. Picking every single card, including those you didn't really want, felt like overkill to a lot of people. Hindsight is 20/20 but this is more "That sucks, but no one is really to blame" than "It's your own fault".

For the people who got a card (this gen) and then decided later to upgrade to a higher model (step up program they call it?): how does it work here exactly? I never did that. Did you have to wait for long or are you maybe still waiting for the step up?

Unfortunately, this is what we are being trained to do. I was stupid enough to pick notify for like everything on launch, and ended up being extremely smart. Also ended "settling" on a K|NGP|N when I started out aiming for a 3070. Wild ride the last 6 months.

I know someone who went to the Tustin store recently for something unrelated. He got there at about 9:45, not long before they opened, and said that everyone at or near the front of the line had the scalper vibe.

I agree with the no one knew at the point in time. I just don't quite get the being angry/frustrated at someone getting a *different* card before them. It's like getting upset if you bought Intel stock for 50 bucks 3 or 4 years ago instead of AMD at 11 back then. All that aside, given Urobulus's PSA from 3/17/2021, it will be anyone's fault from here on out. The last part I was both joking, and kind of serious.

Microstation has cards occasionally from what I get on reddit but usually there are people camping before they open like you stated. Unfortunately most info on microstation cant be tracked easily like BB or this queue. Its worth looking into if its available in your area, just wouldn't get my hopes up and drive too far to get there.

If you aren't too picky about needing AMD vs Nvidia cards, the 6700 XT releases tomorrow as well. Sucks at ray tracing but early reviews show it between the 3060 ti - 3070 in rasterization at 1440p.

Agreed. Totally a bolt from the blue. I actually processed it on autopilot since I was going to buy any card I had notifies on. I thought the cost was the post tariff cost and I was getting a discount (as their accounting mechanism), but no. 3070.

Hindsight is 20/20 but this is more "That sucks, but no one is really to blame" than "It's your own fault".
Nvidia said all along that demand would exceed supply into Q2 2021. They said this last summer. I don't know where you got 2022 from, but I would be interested in reading about it if Nvidia has changed their forecast. I haven't heard anything though, so I'm sticking with late Q2 2021 until new information becomes available. Picking every single card does seem like overkill. I didn't, but I still signed up for 4-5 3080 SKU's so I would have options. That's what it's about.... options. I certainly hope that hand wringing over $20 isn't what prevented people from selecting a 3897 along with a 3895. Now, that is their fault if they couldn't rationalize that decision.
