This is ridiculous..... the RTX 3080 FTW Ultra (3897) has moved almost 3 days since Dec 3rd 2020.....
For those in the queue for 10/x/20.... MAYBE by Christmas (2021)????

Agree with you. Respect that EVGA has a que for people to join and all the work that the guys do on this forum, but it’s very disheartening not seeing any movement on the 3080s and when they do move they barely move. By the time my notification comes around it will be 2022 at this rate and I won’t buy one cause the next new thing will be out. 😀 I already cancelled one of my notifications cause it hasn’t moved since I joined it back in early October.

The price gap between the bottom end air cooled 3080 and the top end is only $80. It's silly to fret over that amount of money when you're already into it for $800. That is not the case with 3060. I bought one to use in my 11900K build (come on z590 Dark!) and when I've got a better card I'll put it in my daughter's computer for her to play minecraft with ray tracing. Might as well mine a bit with it then too.

As long as most have been waiting I have to agree here Queue up for everything especially on a new card on launch day. It might seem like a waste but from what we have seen the step up queues are actually moving also. Might take a little longer to get the actual card you want but you get this one and that price will be taken off the step up card. Get what you can now enjoy it for awhile and either step up or put in a different rig if you need it there.

Ya I agree again with Syntax, DONT CANCEL, I was in queue for 2 different 3070's and got frustrated with no movement and low an behold 2 days after those queues started moving again fast forward 3 weeks and my time slot was passed. Fast forward another couple weeks and I got a 3060ti but would of rather had the 3070. Now only option was a step up or re queue and wait even longer. Now trying to get one on back order from one of my works distributors.

I've been watching ebay to see the number of evga cards being posted. It definitely seems like more cards have went out over the last week or so at least to retailers since the listings on ebay have increased a great deal. I've been waiting for the 3090 XC3 Ultra and I'm so close. There were no listing for it on ebay roughly a week ago, now there's close to 20-25 at any given time. I'm just hoping EVGA will have some spill over into the queue as the queue for the XC3 Ultra hasn't moved in awhile. I'm not worried about the price increase since buying from EVGA will obviously be cheaper than buying from a scalper. Just five and a half month wait wears on a person overtime. Staying optimistic.

They have contract with MicroCenter, Newegg, Amazon and Best Buy. And this contact probably was signed before even first RT 30 series card was released. They have obligations and can't just said " Sorry guys, we will sell GPUs by ourself directly to customers" - in this case they will pay a penalty.

Unfortunately that seems to be the case. I am cautiously optimistic my 3897 on 21 Sept, 20:50hrs will be in April. Like many, I bought the Hybrid Kit and clicked on the 3898/97 in hopes one or the other is moving. I feel like the BB will be on page 999 by the time my number for the 3898 comes up, if ever. BTW, EVGA gave away a 3070 and (2) 3060's yesterday on twitch. If you haven't checked it out, I recommend it. The sound effects are annoying, but I can tolerate it for the opportunity.

They usually only give away one card but they sometimes add a card or some other product when the community steps up supporting a charity, or when they go super long. Or when Peter creates controversy and blames it on management LOL.
