I think the 5950x would be the only way I'd go AMD instead of Intel, if I can get one of them from Newegg Shuffle - even then, I can't really find a motherboard for X570 that I really like.  Especially since I really want to go with a Black/Copper looking build as much as possible.  
Still on the lookout, makes me wish eVGA would do AMD boards, but I understand why they don't.

ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero ATX Gaming is the only one worth getting from what I can see.  Proper cooling, unique OC capabilities that literally no other motherboard has.  It's beautiful.  It's also completely scalped to death.

Aw, that's too bad you canceled the order. I would have bought the 5950X from you. I just got my Dark Hero motherboard the other day (at a slight markup), but I missed out of the shuffle the last couple times the 5950X has been on offer.

I had someone last night tell me he was in the queue and would get his 3897 soon and I was like "When did you register?!" "January! I heard they're in November already!" I was just like "LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Buddy, I'm on the forums a lot and they're still first thing in the morning on September 19th - two days after launch" xD I felt bad for ruining his hopes and dreams..

Dabadger i am checking in here. i got my 3898 3080 hybrid yesterday and installed it with a push-pull setup as the intake. with 2 noctua 3k rpm fans pushing and the stock fans on the rad pulling, my cpu is also AIO with one 2k rpm fan running max, along with my other exhaust fan (1500rpm) running max 24/7, during gaming, with settings maxed i reach MAYBE 47°C on the gpu and 61° max on the cpu, i haven’t adjusted the fan curves of anything via speedfan or precision. I was going to play with that tonight to see just how chilly i can have it running. i would definitely prefer an exhaust for my radiator, but given the space, it’s all i got. everything went together well and huge props to evga for making such a BA card. i’m going to flip the the “OC” switch and work from there tonight. thanks for the knowledge in this thread btw, very helpful. the radiator hose is PERFECT length.

I think you’ll be fine, unless supply worsens we are past the release date and you are before the auto-notify being used as a wait list announcement.

Sorry but that's definitely not happening for sure. I'm at 9/23 and I'm not holding my breath to even receive a card before the beginning of summer at this rate or Falls 2021: the flow slowed down drastically recently, it will get even worse for the next 4 weeks because of Chinese Lunar Year or whatever it's called, and it won't magically pick up after. The production is abysmal and scalpers still control the market (and will for a while).
 
I've been saying it for months now: unless you signed in in the first 2-3 days after release you are most probably not getting a card at all this year. That's just reality now unfortunately.
 
And if you signed after start planning to buy the 40xx series instead, because it WILL be announced before you receive your 3080.
 
We will reach the 6 months mark pretty soon, and nothing changed since the beginning: it won't either anytime soon. Believing otherwise is just fooling yourself with everything that happened for months now, I don't understand why people can't get that through their skull once and for all and keep rehashing the same fairy tale that it will magically pick up ''soon''...

It's a bit of luck but also a lot of time and patience. I'm lucky, I'm working remote so I can have Discord open to Falcodrin and watch when a drop happens and click over fast to try and get something. I'll be honest, I've had a lot of luck with it. I have one 3090 FTW3, and four other branded 3070s. This is a mix of Amazon, Bestbuy and Newegg Shuffle (2 from there). Yes I overpaid a bit but technically it's "retail pricing."  I am not a reseller, I have a family that likes to game so these are all in use. 
 
So the key is patience and the ability to be in front of the screen all day. Just so you know, the 3070 is a beast and it runs very cool. The 3090 is a beast but sucks juice and is hot as hell. The only models you are likely to get are 3070s and 3090s because there just seem more of them.

For those in China, happy new year! (23 minutes in and counting.)
 
Not to make light of the COVID situation -- but if there is one more thing that would benefit from a Project Warp Speed -- it is the 2020-2021 Tech Launch Debacle™ (© NVIDIA 2020-2023). 
 
Put another way, in a weird Bachelor - Technology Industry mash-up, I am finding it harder and harder to believe that NVIDIA are "here for the right reasons."

Enewt hasn't really been any report on 3667? I have seen it in Jacobf daily schedule a couple of times already but the timew won't move. Can we be sure it's because no reports right? or there is days Jacobf report SKUs but some specific references doesn't drop?

Those are probably drops for people who aren't active on the EVGA forums... I retract my statement.

Well since I didn't get in the 3080 queue until the middle of October, I don't have much hope of getting one before the April price increase. And I agree, it would do a lot to help ease the pain of waiting so long if EVGA delayed the price hike.
