In addition, there's a lively discussion on reddit now about how people are noticing 3070, 3060ti, and even 3090 cards showing up frequently at microcenters and other retailers WAY more often than 3080s.

Why? PROFIT.
Cheaper silicon goes to 3060ti and 3070. More expensive silicon goes to the $1500+ 3090.

My guess is most 3080s are becoming Ti.

Looks like my best chance to get a card in time for my 11th Gen Intel build is the 3080 FTW3 Hybrid.  Wish I knew how many peoplpe signed up for that on day one, I'm 9 hours off last reported notify.  :o
Now I have to find a case that will let me top mount both the GPU and CPU radiators.  Or maybe a rear mounted GPU radiator.
Any suggestions?

Exactly, it's not like I posted "LUL my 3090 just sold for $$$$ and made $$$ profit ez, sucks to be stuck in queue doesn't it?" - Even if I had resold it for exactly what I paid for it plus fees I'm sure some would have still complained at the mere mentioning of it, just like some complain when pictures are posted of builds - yet no one says "Nice gloating" or "Wow that's not cool" whatever else when someone posts they ordered their card or received their card from queue, and that is LITERALLY the same thing as posting a picture or what not, but instead that's met with congratulations.  It's all a bit silly.

I will offer the 3070 to friends first, if no one wants it then I will sell it off as well.

About to list a 970 as well, as friends have equal or better.

3751 hasn't moved in months. I'm curious to see how much that queue moves (I'm betting not much based on the latest movement for other cards).

Most likely it's 3080s going to dedicated mining cards.

I wish they would make cards specifically for mining and cards specifically for gaming.

I worry under that scenario that all of the silicon would go to the miners then...at least now we can attempt to repurpose a card for gaming (i.e., not NVIDIA's intended best use case).  /snark

They do. That's another reason why supply is so garbage. NVIDIA is selling gpus directly to mining operations, in bulk, that have no outputs for display. They've been doing it since the mining craze began back when the R9 290X & GTX 780s were new, from what I understand.
What sucks (for us) is that even in this gpu climate, Nvidia are still prioritizing the mining market & the enterprise sector (because that's where the profit is) over regular consumers.

Didn't realize this queue was a thing until Jan 15th when I've been trying to get these cards forever
Took a look through the thread and looks like I'm probably not going to be getting my opportunity for a loooong time.
Luckily my EVGA GTX 980 is still chugging along, but fingers crossed we start getting stock.

It goes in the order that you placed your notify.  If you're already signed up, don't mess with it.  You could end up paying more for your card if you previously signed up before the price increase.

Associate Code XX95PJN1T76IONP for discounts at the EVGA store.  Thanks to anyone who uses it.

Yeah, two of the 3070's and two of the 3080's.  Can't afford a 3090 and 3060 won't do what I need.

Yeah, when I got there I said to the first guy I saw "you guys got any RTX cards?"  He said "yeah, plenty".  I'm like ****.  I said "one left?"  He repeated "no, plenty!"

I got totally excited and got back there and asked the guy at the counter "got any RTX cards?" He showed me the rack with them all...  He goes "what kind you want?"  I was like 3080...  He's like nah only 3070 and 3090.  I was so bummed.

That's been a lot of people's experiences lately. Walking up to the case with a bunch of cards and getting excited only to see they're all 3070s and 3090s. </3

The problem with "mining only" cards is that so long as a gpu intended for gaming and other workloads can be used for Mining it will still be attractive to miners. The reason being that regular gpus have greater resale value because they can be used by a wider audience and because it isn't obvious that a regular gpu was used for Mining. Unless mining cards are MUCH cheaper than regular gpus (unlikely when all they do is knock off the display ports) the added resale value of a regular gpu is very attractive.

If you want to top mount both GPU and CPU radiators, there's the Corsair 1000D Super Tower if you buy the option trays for the top.

Yeah the 1000D would have been SUPER overkill for my system hahaha plus it was over twice as much as the Lian Li so I'm pretty happy with my decision overall. I called it an early birthday present to myself ;)

3751 hasn't moved in months. I'm curious to see how much that queue moves (I'm betting not much based on the latest movement for other cards).

I received my notification on Jan 15th, and received the card on the following Monday.  My registration was Oct 29, 6:11:24am.

OK I just got off the phone with them. They saw 30 EVGA cards there. They don’t know why it is reporting only eight. They still have stock also. I’m trying to get this stupid concrete job done so I can get up there and grab one. If I get one I will sell it to one of you for cost. I’m just going to be happy with my 1080 TI until one of my notifications come up. My case isn’t exactly ready yet. I am redoing all of my water cooling I have the Thermaltake Core X5 it’s a monstrous case and I want to add a whole lot more water cooling to it. And I see them because I don’t want anyone to know if it’s a he or she working there I do not want them in trouble. But they said there is still about 12

Good luck.  Just got back from there.  It's all MSI 3070.

I don't live anywhere remotely near a microcenter, but I am close to one right now for training. I checked, and they STILL have 3090s and 3070s in stock, several hours after the store's opening. Why?

They are all MSI, and MSI raised the CRAP out of their MSRPs. Nearly $800 for a 3070? No thanks. I'm hoping to snag a 3080 for less than that, if we ever start moving faster in this queue. I realize that I have a 3070 FE I lucked out on thanks to Best Buy, but even if I didn't I would have just kept my 1080ti hybrid and gamed on that and waited for prices to become sane. This is madness.
