Just an FYI on this order, the original MSRP in the $800 range, when I first queued up for this card didn't follow over like I thought, but I planned just incase. The MSRP for this card in my shopping cart was for $919.99. I called in just to check and the man was so nice but he said there was a memo sent out about how the MSRP was increasing, I thought I had read they would still honor the original MSRP at the time of queue, but I didn't press it any further. I waited long enough, lol. He was very nice, helped me with a shopping cart bug on the website, and helped me with an extra 8 pin power cable for my EVGA PSU. Great staff and great company. I'll be ordering from them again.

Congratulations on completing your watch. Unfortunately the original prices were only "grandfathered" through mid April of 2021, so we consumers have had to bear the increases as we wait. Enjoy your new gaming goodness!

Yeah. I queued for it on 1/21/2021 13:41:36. However, since I managed to snag a 3967 (3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra) back in December 2021, I will let my 3897 go to the next person in the queue.

I think that is right. I would guess about 33% signed up on September 17 and 18. Another 33% signed up on October 5 and 6, when the queue process was first announced. The remaining 33% sprinkled throughout November 2020 - September 2021, likely around other launches...the 3070 Ti, the 3080 Ti, etc.

When I started this hunt november 2020, I liked the 3080 850-900 prices. Then demand happened. Then supply happened. I queued ONE card, not knowing I could add more. Then December 2020, I added 1 more. Then tarrifs happened. Then I added 2 more in June 2021. Then queue 2.0, and some announcement saying 'pick 2, and these XXX are your best chance' So I then removed two, including one I'd added in 2020. Then KR to KL (no biggie, I don't mine) Then Queue 3.0 Now, 12gb 3080s aplenty, for $1500. I feel as though the $1000 8gb 3080s I want will never arrive because of the 12gb and $profit$. The goal posts keep moving. Am I the only one that feels this way? Am I wrong for feeling this way? 10G-P5-3897-KL 6/28/2021 11:33:04 AM PT No True 10G-P5-3885-KL 12/14/2020 6:56:14 AM PT No True

I agree about the 3080 12GB pricing it totally sucks. And you are right that the $1000 3080 you want probably will never arrive. Nvidia saw that people were willing to pay more than what they were selling the original 3080 for and they just replaced it with the 12GB version for more money. They knew it would look even worse to just simply jack up the MSRP of the original card so they just created a new version and charged more for it. It stills look bad to us but to them they have an excuse. All of the GA102 chips now go into 3080 12GB, 3080 Ti, or 3090. It sucks but there isn't much we can do. They realized they weren't charging enough originally based on the current market and enough people pay the high prices that it's worth it for them to do. They saw that original priced 3080 as money lost with each sale. Unfortunately this is just what the market bears at this point. It's unfortunate because they priced the 3080 originally at what they did because of lackluster sales with the higher prices of the 20 series cards. So they thought they could recapture lots of sales with a better priced 3080. They more than achieved that, but things changed somehow. I guess more people got into PC gaming during the pandemic, combined with better relative performance of the 30 series, and of course the price of cryptocurrency skyrocketed so miners were buying more cards than ever. It's just a perfect storm of things that caused the price increases. And at this point I don't think we are ever going back to sane level pricing unless things change again. GPU mining would need to become unprofitable and gamers would need to reject the high prices.

The queue is the queue, it's not rocket science and it has no bearing on any factor other than EVGA's queue fulfillment, and or queue cancelation by the consumer. Possible things that can slow down the queue are the 20 hour window EVGA issues to people to buy their cards, if people don't respond, that's 20 hours delayed for that one cards sale, which can prolong the fulfillment but we will never know to what extent. Other factors such as Production of cards can shift without notice. One card might be mass produced and then it stops and another card starts being mass produced. You never know. Edit: There is another factor for the 3.0 Queue system. There your EVGA points will make a difference in that specific queue system. People with EVGA points will get picked first over someone without those point. Please read the info on that specific queue system for more info. And the average wait depends on which card you queued up for. I was on the queue for nearly 15 months before mine was ready. Some people much sooner.

fireskelet Hello, was wondering if the Queue system is impacted by the accounts activity in the forums or other factors? And how long do people usually wait for their card? I have been in the queue for more than a year now. Thanks, Arturs

NP, btw Enewt posts his 30 series spreadsheet here twice a day with the latest queue positions reported to him. If you're looking to see where your card sits in the queue, you may want to compare his list to your sku number on your queue. Good luck!

By the way, today's update will be just once...this evening. Nothing changed overnight and work has hit hard this morning. Best of luck today!

That 1000$ 3080 is almost there if you watch Ebay, getting closer , average is bout 100 over sticker, which is selling at a net loss since Ebay takes 15% off the top.
