I've never heard of igors lab, so no idea how reputable they are... but I'd definitely take all the stuff with a gigantic grain of salt.

I'm really hoping the AMD cards show impressive results *and* have a lot of availability-it will make my 3090 queue that much shorter :D
(no AMD hate, I just use an app that requires an Nvidia card)

Good morning and good luck tracking those cards for your grandsons. The bad news is the spreadsheet was attacked again. The good news is that will not delay the queue (or the email you will eventually receive) one minute. The spreadsheet is only an informal, unofficial tool we have been using to keep track of the front of the line; EVGA does not use it. Your two Ultra card auto-notify times are likely going to result in the first two emails you will receive (in large measure because those are the cards that EVGA is producing these days). The XC3 Ultra isn't too far away from your position, so that is a positive development. Because the FTW3 Ultra is still in the 8 am hour of 9/17, I think you are likely several weeks away from an email for that card.

I can't say for sure myself, but recently he's been pretty spot on with some of his leaks/rumors and seems to show that he has a strong technical background/understanding in which he can throw out theoreticals and be pretty accurate in regards to specs and performance.

Haha, I got you all beat, I don't even have a PC yet. I'm sitting here with a case, power supply, keyboard/mouse and cpu cooler. I'm fairly certain I'll pick up a 5900x next week, then choose the motherboard. I bought ram also but I bought it thinking i'll go intel instead of AMD cpu so might be returning it for something better. I still don't have a GPU. I don't even have an old cheap one to slap in there just to get it all up and running. My old dead PC in the basement is 16 years old and had an AGP GPU in it! Yikes.

I echo the "be careful" approach here, especially if you are shifting necessary dollars on hand to make these additional purchases. When the email for the GPU comes, the purchasing window is only 8 hours. You do not want to be illiquid in that moment. I remain hopeful that 400 positions on a queue can go pretty quickly as yields and volumes improve (that said, if the queue you are talking about is not a 3080 Ultra, then maybe you have the time...).
