FoxConn make parts for HP, as MB and seems like GPU's as well. But price was pretty good for black Friday.
With discout I got it for $1611. With Ryzen 5 5600x.

FoxConn make parts for HP, as MB and seems like GPU's as well. But price was pretty good for black Friday.
With discout I got it for $1611. With Ryzen 5 5600x.
Where'd you order it from? I found a website that claims you get either a Nvidia 3070, 80, or 90 with the HP Omen. at eluktronics .com

What's the return policy on it? You could always hang on to it for a little bit to see if the queue jumps and just return it if you can get a GPU elsewhere. It doesn't seem worth it to me to spend extra money on a prebuilt JUST for the GPU - especially one of questionable quality/origin. darky404

I know the line usually takes some time, and per author above, it might take couple days, or weeks, or even months for me to get the email notice. But since I'm only 9 hours away, and super close. Do you how long it averagely takes? I know you your reply might not be definite and it's totally fine, but just at least an approximation of timeline. Do you believe I have more than average chances receiving the email notice within at least next 2-3 month. Or it might even take longer than that, and even another year. Like when you order from aliexpress for example, they tell you it might be any time between 30 to 100 days. haha Thank you so much in advace. I will appreciate any infomration you could give me.

Hi there TheRealMikeVan! Not sure about their return policy, but they promise to build it and ship to to me right after the christmas (12/29/2021) It a decent deal, and I'm pretty much paying about $1000 for the GPU. CPU is Ryzen 5 5600X ($300) Motherboard HP OEM ($60-70?) 8GB RAM HyperX 3200 ($60) 256 SSD nMVe ($50-60) Coolermaster 800 Gold ($100) + case and fans. Cons: The GPU is FoxConn from HP, it has triple fan but I doubt it OC, and probably goes with some average specs. I will need to invest into cooling system, because these OMEN's have huge problems with temps. (CPU cooler, fans)

On September 1, the 3898 was at 9:14:54...so it has moved just under two minutes of timeline in 3 months.... The 3897 is still on or about October 15, 2020...so about two months away from your timestamp in the timeline. I think it is safe to say that you are unlikely to see a card from either queue before Valentine's Day...and it could be a lot longer. I am not a fan of providing estimates as we have NO IDEA whether supply will increase, decrease or stay the same....

I ordered an alienware and the 3080 look like the fe model. It was a high hashrate not a Lhr I did the order around Oct 1 and got it about Oct 31. All the omen's and Alienware are fe models with slight or no mods and the 3060ti the 3070 the 3080 were all full hashrate cards. I hate the alienware pc case it is hot and does not cool well. The omen with liquid cpu cooling is okay

I believe mines comes with LHR thingy. But I don't really care, I'm gamer not miner. haha Saw some builds of people who own's the OMEN in youtube and reddit. People had triple fan RTX 3080 with no logo on it. Did some research, and found out it's Foxconn. Not sure if it's 100% valid information, but the one I pre-ordered does goes with triple fan. And yes, cooling system need be fully upgraded. Since the CPU cooler is OEM and the fans are loud and cheap. Noctua all the way!

No, step up is 'I want to upgrade the card I already have' and there are limited options. You have to sign up in the first 90 days of successfully ordering your card, and wait. So say you snag a 3060 XC but you WANTED a 3070 or 3080 ti, you put in for Step Up which puts you in ANOTHER que. One day in the far flung future (usually) you get an email that your day has come! For 3070/3080/3090 apparently that 'day' is like a year out. But, for 3060 ti apparently enough people ditched their que on that sku in favor of 'better' cards that the step ups/orders are really ramping along when they actually pump out that sku. https://www.evga.com/support/stepup/
