Dang dude. I was talking to my wife and was joking with her that it would talk longer to get the specific gc that I want then it took for me to get my ATF tax stamps on some toys of mine. I waited 8 months for those stamps. I'm not joking with her about that ever again.

So, it might be a bit controversial an opinion, but I quite enjoyed Dune. Being a fan of the books, to now see it through a second lens (technically, third after D. Lynch's vision)...I appreciate that the intellectual property is getting further investment. AT&T (and soon to be discovery) have no choice but to invest in "Part 2". The biggest failing in all of this is that AT&T didn't believe enough in the property or in the viewers to greenlight and shoot both films up front. It is going to be a long time until we get to see more of Arrakis. And that is a pity. It is the rare day in Los Angeles when it rains, but today is that day. So this amphibian is going to make the most of it and find some puddles in which to adventure. Best of luck today! P.S. I don't know. Iirc, there's a timeshift in the story right after where the movie ended so filming part 2 (and 3? Not sure how much more story there is left) some years later may be beneficial to replicate the corresponding growth of the characters.

It's definitely too much to cram into a single film, stunningly beautiful version but lacks the plot dialog. I fear this may be it and part 2 might not get finished although we have seen the glimpses into the future, if it's going off box office, I think it might be doomed.
