Babelfish2001Yeah, I declined the switch to KL. I was just hoping that they had a few more KRs. The resale in the future is going to be much better. In case if Nvidia will not make non-LHR chips anymore you'll out of luck.

Well it was a gamble on my part to stay on the KL queue.
Based on? I don't think they will since the KR is only pertinent to ETH mining and ETH mining won't be a thing much longer. Otherwise, they're the same. So I don't see it having an impact on resale unless you're planning on scalping the card right now while the market is still inflated.

It would have come off better if they would have asked us to visit a link and switch over ourselves. The auto move over and skip to people up ahead just looks bad even though I'm sure there was no ill intent there.

I agree, it's interesting it hasn't blown up more. I guess it's because there are a lot of gamers still in the forums waiting for the GPUs instead of miners willing to pay the scalper prices because mining was lucrative and got them already through 3rd party sellers. Moving back to the non-LHR models will be a huge gamble as Nvidia is moving to separate the gaming and mining cards through the use of hash limiters and older technology in the mining cards to not eat up as much resources as the current 30 series gpus. Non-LHR dies are going to be scarce if available at all I believe. I think from what I saw on the movement to the LHR dies by Nvidia only the 3090s will be non-LHR moving for though that could change. If you are gaming, then the move should have little to no impact other than hopefully speed up your wait time. If you are a part time miner then you'd better get a non-LHR card as soon as possible through whatever means you can. For most here, it wont make too big of a difference which is why I think there is less salt flying around due to this. They just want a gpu to either do work or game with. Casual miners I feel for, but what can you say? Ebay sales are taking a dive which is great for the gamer as this reflects a return to balance for demand/supply. With ebay taking 10 plus percent of the sale price, it's leaving less to the scalper now to make money for the risks they take on.

It could be that the majority of folks simply haven't been paying attention...they got the notice, saw that no action was required, read the recommendation by EVGA to move to the -KL queue...and went on about their day. When they see the summary doc tonight or over the next few days, I would expect some to raise some noise...perhaps muted, but if I were among those folks, I would be buying some more salt at the co-op.

Well DUH, lol, I need to earn enough to get this new EVGA Dark Ryzen MB they teased today. I don't know if I need it, but I want it. Plus, I want to make it to 500 posts and get my 4th "E" in the signature. It is hard to get to 500 with absolutely nothing useful to say most days.
