I have a question about the upcoming 3070 Ti. I really don't want to sign up for some dead-end SKU, so is there a way to tell what SKUs are going to be a waste of time to sign up for?

I suppose, but with all the rest of the Elites pressing F5 over and over, and having to do one at a time, it certainly seems prudent to pick the one of the SKUs that has the best chance to actually ship, do that one, then move down the list.

Signup for all, starting from the Most expensive one. My feeling is nVidia asks the AIBs to have at least one model that is priced equivalent to their FE at launch. Predictably, AIBs would choose to manufacture that model to fulfill the absolute minimum requirement. The above is totally my unsubstantiated guess. But the first day of 3080Ti launch, Newegg shuffle had a Ti from all major manufacturers and there were at least one model @ nVidia FE msrp from all AIBs (yes, even msi had a 3080 Ti for $1199!).

Don't forget the USD-CAD conversion is currently 1.21 instead of the 1.33 it was last year. So this means the card is $168CAD less. Depending on which province you're in, that could almost cover the shipping and tax. Import duty I'd guess should be less than $40CAD. Add in the 3% for an associate code helps too. But that still makes the card almost $1900CAD total, and considering after tax both 6900XT and 3080 FTW3 Ultra are in the 1200-1300CAD range, without a discount coupon I don't blame you for passing on this. Even with a 30%-off coupon, I'm looking at just over $1300CAD total.
I mean sure, but what's their alternative? First of all, good luck getting a GPU from most outlets here in Canada. Even if you do, the FTW3 3080 Ti is listed at $1800 CAD, or nearly $1500 USD, here. That's before tax. So, I really think that buying from EVGA is still the best option. That said, all of these cards are monstrously overpriced, so if you really can't afford it then of course I would just let it go.

Honestly, the most expensive (air-cooled) one. As much as I sound like a smart-@#$. I would definitely hedge my bets on the FT3 Ultra. Don't try to save a few bucks and go for the XC3 because historically, those do not move. As great as the hybrids and hydro coppers are, if you're not within the initial drop or two, it's going to be an eternity. Again, this is based on the historical trend. Good luck, my friend!

When was your time stamp for the queue. I am not an elite member. But I did sign up for the queue when it was released on June 4th at 7AM (9AM my time). My time stamp is 9 seconds after drop. So 9:00:09AM for the 3080 TI FTW3 ultra. I really want a card. I started my build 8-9 months ago and need it to complete.

I don't want to be overly optimistic, but I keep trying to convince myself that the fact that EVGA had a dedicated non-elite queue opening a full 24 hours after launch HAS to mean something. Right? RIGHT?!?! Someone please tell me it does. Especially having learned what the launches were like from the initial Ampere cards and seeing the supply and demand situation for the last 9 months. You would think they wouldn't waste everyone's time with that second window unless they expected to make it there in any sort of semi-reasonable time.

Thanks, when I enter this card, and my new EVGA PSU, think I'll be at two full product pages in my profile. The Elite Q system seems to be the way to go, if you're in before 9am, think people are looking at a week, weeks to maybe a month or two for the Elite Queue and those that got in early. It's not like most of us have been waiting just on this launch, but most of us have pages of Notifies as well as Products in the Step-Up program for months, so frustration and anxiety levels have been high for the 3080 Ti. So EVGA has done well with this launch, and it's looking like we'll see some consistent movement. I was really skeptical that I was going to get a card, I'd heard "paper launch", but I'm thinking EVGA did much, much better this time, and I'm looking forward to seeing the celebratory posts for all members getting the cards of their choice. This might move faster than I thought it would. I assume there are a lot of people between this time and me though, 7:48. I had to fight that notification box for roughly ten minutes to get it to finally submit.

+1 From my experience, the XC3s seems to have the worst stock and almost never comes back in stock.

Agreed. This is pretty much the only place to get a decently priced GPU in Canada outside of being very lucky with stock drops on BB or AMD direct buy.

There aren't many 7:30s. It should hop along to the 7:40s pretty soon. Then it's probably going to start to crawl somewhere in the 40s through well. A good hour or two probably. Especially through 8.20-30 is my guess.

Sorry RMV, but I think that's what you're looking at. They were up, then mostly down, then back up again. The flood gates didn't open for me until the 7:50s, and even then it took a few minutes between each notify to squeeze in. Certainly there are going to be less dense queues than others, but I think even those will start to clog up by 8. I say that because there were a lot of people with one 7.20 or 7.40 something and then.. a 20 minute clamp down before they got queued for the next one (and the next one, and the next one). On the bright side, I think people will drop out of the queues as most probably wouldn't buy every single card. On the gloom side, there were people who struggled getting queued up until around 9 am PT. That just gets back to potentially how dense about 7:40 - 9 am PT really is. Heck, if you had problems signing in up til 8.40 that pretty much tells you all you need to know about how many folks were hitting the notifies. Maybe by the end of the week or next week we'll see how they go the closer they get to 8. So far they're moving at least.
