One interesting song, for this rainy Monday, many of us can relate to:

....
Baby, I've been waiting, I've been waiting night and day.
I didn't see the time, I waited half my life away.
There were lots of invitations and I know you sent me some,
but I was waiting for the miracle, for the miracle to come.
.....

Hope that you recognise the singer.....

They must have been able to see the future when they wrote that song. It hits really hard for us here lol

I hope that it wont be the same with rtx 4000 series.....

Lol one can only hope.

We ain't brothers, we ain't partners and we ain't friends. If botters get away with my GPU's you're gonna be sorry you ever met me...

Let me know when we get to Dr. Doolittle, because I am not going to recognize any of those quotes.  I consider Dr. Doolittle to be an alternative name for Jensen (I am sure he has an honorary doctorate from somewhere).

Also put my name in the Newegg shuffle hat.  Annoyed at it, but can't do much myself about the state of GPUs.  It's almost like all the tech brands offloading their chip manufacturing onto one of a handful of companies is coming back to bite them in the butt.

Be and Do in equal measure.  Yes, that includes being patient on getting the new computer rig completed.

I strongly recommend people stop entering the shuffle and boycott Newegg altogether.
It's a scam to get gamers to have to visit their site every day and works spectacularly well.
It's basically free marketing for them and now that there are an astronomical amount of people entering the shuffle on a daily basis, the odds of actually getting picked are "0.001%" according to tomshardware

True.  Though, when I see news that said manufacturing companies are building a new fab plant at a cost of $1b or more, it seems understandable that you'd rather have someone else do it.

Still better than my odds of getting a queue notification.  Friend of mine has managed to get picked twice, though most in my circle have entered dozens of times now without luck.  Still, doesn't cost anything and it's not as though I'm lured into leaving the Shuffle page to buy random crap.  Probably gets worse every day though since "news" sites like Wccftech and PCGamer have taken to "Hey, go enter the Shuffle!" in lieu of actually finding news to write about.

Someone above said that NVIDIA was not releasing the 4000 series until 2022?  This came up when I was wondering what would happen to the people on the 3000 lists when the 3000's were not being sold because of the 4000.

Doesn't help when you also hear about people with hundreds of smurf accounts.  Really stacks the odds against anyone honest.  Then again, scalping has never been honest work.

I think the odds are much better than that.  I've been hunting a 3060ti since Winter Solstice, and finally "won" a bundle (with a nice door-stop) last week; it was my 14th time entering the shuffle.  It's not an EVGA card, but hopefully it'll last until my number comes up in 2026. :-/  Sure it was overpriced, but not stupid-scalper-overpriced.

I think the odds are much better than that.

I think people are calculating the odds based on there only being a single item in each category.  But this seems unlikely and, without knowing how many items are actually available, no one really has a clue what the odds are.

I think exactly the same as you said. In fact, I have entered more than 20 times and lost in all of them. I stopped participating in their shuffle some days ago after I realize that it is impossible to win, and even if you win, you will get a second product that you don't even need.

My feeling is this is going to be the norm.  I fully do not expect to see a 3080 notification before the 3080 Tis get announced.  I've pretty much given up.

I work in eCommerce...I'll pay as much as $10 per conversion with google ads or retargeting on facebook depending on what I'm marketing...Newegg is basically using their customers as a free advertising tool...I see 100s of people posting about the shuffle each day and they are all posting links to newegg's site...it's basically free organic advertising for them...I know some people who won early on but don't know a single person who has won in the past month

I know people who have not only won recently but multiple times and some wins have been back to back.

I don't understand how its a scam since the end-user isn't losing anything of value but their time and sanity. I think that article was flawed in how they did the math since people can enter for multiple items/bundles, I believe that was assuming just 1.

I'm not for or against Newegg either, they're just doing what businesses do. If you don't like them, don't visit them and visit the 1-2 other retailers selling cards in the US or hit up a MicroCenter.

I strongly recommend people stop entering the shuffle and boycott Newegg altogether.
It's a scam to get gamers to have to visit their site every day and works spectacularly well.
It's basically free marketing for them and now that there are an astronomical amount of people entering the shuffle on a daily basis, the odds of actually getting picked are "0.001%" according to tomshardware
https://www.tomshardware....ws/newegg-shuffle-odds

I think exactly the same as you said. In fact, I have entered more than 20 times and lost in all of them. I stopped participating in their shuffle some days ago after I realize that it is impossible to win, and even if you win, you will get a second product that you don't even need.

I won a gigabyte 3090 last week, only the second time I"ve ever entered, with a mobo that I actually needed. But the package is now missing and I am trying to deal with the claims process so I can't really say I won >.<

Bit of a late response but just ordered with your code Enewt, had some issues trying to log into EVGA from my phone while at work and I had to wait for customer service to get back to me since I missed the window.

Congratulations on your waterlogged kit.

Thanks for reporting back and thanks for using the Associate’s Code for your discount at checkout; it is appreciated. Enjoy!

Now I just need the KP  I'm only 11 spots away according to the spreadsheet but they have not dropped many cards since early March. I hope they are not all being saved for the HC KP.

are we really going to go 3 full days without a single card sold in the queue?

To be fair, they don't do drops on the weekends. But I'm with you in sentiment. Lol

I don't think he included the weekend. There were no card drops on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, which was very strange considering how much movement there was on Tuesday and that we would normally see straggler drops for days after that kind of movement. If there are none today, than that's 4 days, not including the weekend. Something is odd there. They did ship out some HC blocks, but that's all anybody reported. I am at the point where I'm hoping their shipping department is ok.

6Q6CPFHPBPCU691 is a discount code anyone can use.

I wasn't referring to the weekend. I was referring to last thursday and friday...not a single card sold on the queue that I am aware of.
