How do i get myself notified for RTX 3070. Will there be a product page up before release date?

I'm assuming it will be the same as 3090 where the product page with the auto notify / add to cart button did not appear until about 7am on release day. As to whether EVGA are going to do the same method with auto notify I don't think they have confirmed yet, but I would imagine so, considering how much goodwill it has garnered for the 3080/3090 cards.. and bots can go jump off a cliff.

would the associate code work with new cards?

It absolutely outperforms my 2060, and my system temps are averaging 65° under heavy load, even after hours of gaming. The card looks great too, if I say so myself!

I believe so, don't see why not. Not sure if it would be 5% off the price after rebate or before though.

Not to be too negative, but what’s to stop the bot operators from pounding the notify scripts and taking all the top spots in the queue for scalping purposes? The only reason the current queue worked out for the 3080 and 3090 is the bots were caught off guard and didn’t know there was going to be a queue system or that the notify button would benefit them at all. Now they will be expecting this and will be ready to jump on every spot in the queue, leaving nothing for consumers who only want to purchase at list price. I hate to be discouraging, but trying to get any new tech online at retail such as from Newegg or Best Buy is an exercise in futility. EVGA and other sellers are going to have to come up with some kind of system that will give everyone an equal shot at getting a card and can somehow can exclude bots. I have no idea what such a system would look like, but I would like to see if all the smart people out there can crowd source a workable solution to this continuing bot problem.

We'll cross that road when we get there.  My guess is this system *should* still work because it requires an EVGA account.  Valid address (no forwarding addresses as those people seem to have been kicked out of the queue) to match the e-mail address.  And since it's 1 card model per e-mail/address, it could still theoretically work.

Don't get the thread locked 🔐 again. So I'll just say once what I think and let's dont derail the thread.

You say companies need to do something to combat bots? Evga created this solution, who else is going something like this?no one else is and at least cards are going to legit customers.

Can it be improved? Sure like instituting a 1 card limit regardless of which one you signed up for ( you decide which one to get) that will almost eliminate bots because yes they can buy one of each currently. Which is why I think evga is only sending emails one at a time so they don't send say a scalper an email for say two XC3 models. Another suggestion is verifying your order with a text /email and of course recording that purchase account and limit to 1. Etc ...look scalpers will continue to do this as long as people are willing to pay.

Evga #1 in my book now let's hope my card is not too hot when I eventually get it so I don't have to get the hybrid kit.

Even though I am a Team EVGA guy I was able to score a 3090 FE off Best Buy on Thursday.  Once it is in my hands I will drop off the list to help it move along. It should be here Tuesday.  Sad I wasn't able to get EVGA this time around.

Derail the thread from what exactly, it's 90% spreadsheet spam and associate code grovelling now lol.

It's a valid concern, but I don't think evga would even use the same system again. Going forward I expect them to be prepared with a better solution, possibly around Elite members or consumer loyalty. It was a great bandaid this time around though, and very quick thinking as they struggled to even keep their website from crashing

Thank you Celeras. I have absolutely no desire to get this thread locked. It is about the queue process, it’s benefit, and hopefully a discussion about potential pitfalls and possible improvements.

If you look back on any of my posts, you will see I am a huge advocate for EVGA and their queue system. I have said that I am so impressed by their efforts that I will be looking to EVGA first for all my future builds. I don‘t see any other vendors doing anything like what EVGA is doing for their customers.

if you want to talk about things that seems to verge on spam, how about all the requests to ”please add me...”

I thought I was bringing up a valid point. I’ll shut up now and just wait for my notification email...

I remember tech deals mentioning something where since EVGA has membership of different Tiers, you assign the notifications based on that and then the dates including those tiers. So you have at least your elites that have been with you a long time a chance of getting the cards then associates then regulars.

..it's 90% spreadsheet spam and associate code grovelling..

nnarkis
..if you want to talk about things that seems to verge on spam, how about all the requests to ”please add me...”

Fair enough, and yeah I agree there's a lot of it. If you care to look back through the thread, I have posted a number of times how people can add themselves, but the requests continue. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I will continue adding them when I have the time (I have been off work for the past week) because I think it is a very useful tool to get some idea of knowing when we (including you!) might expect an email, rather than just being on the list and completely unaware if the email might be coming tomorrow or if it might be a month from now. The more data added, the better the spreadsheet becomes as a predictor, so it's in my interest and yours to keep adding people if they don't want to do it themselves.

Even more of a concern is that sometimes EVGA send the emails in the early evening CA time, and people living in different time zones like the east coast (me) might not see it until the next morning.. after the 8 hours to respond have passed. I've already seen that happen to 2 people that I'm aware of on these forums. The alternative is to set an alarm for the middle of the night every night for a month or more just to check your email. The spreadsheet helps alleviate that.

As far as getting associate codes, as someone else said, it's a win/win. You are free to step up and help out if you wish, but if not, don't expect people to use your associate code. None of my posts are solely about "associate code grovelling" as Celeras put it, every post I've made in this thread has been to help people out with the spreadsheet, and adding to that the awareness of a 5% discount on their new GPU when they receive that email. Maybe you don't care about getting up to $90 off your GPU, but plenty of others do.

With all due respect, this thread is specifically about the notification checkouts, so clearly this is the best place for this info. If you want to talk about bots and methods of stopping them, there are plenty of threads in the main 30 series forum which are more specific on discussing that subject.

Finally, sometimes if you've got nothing helpful or constructive to say, it's wiser to just say nothing at all. As Vegnar stated, this thread has been locked once already, so please don't make it happen again, and in your case Celeras, you've already received your 3080 XC3 Ultra, so I'm not sure why you are even looking at this thread...

Celeras
..it's 90% spreadsheet spam and associate code grovelling..

nnarkis
..if you want to talk about things that seems to verge on spam, how about all the requests to ”please add me...”

Nereus, the work you are doing is commendable mate, no doubting that.
That being said, personal benefit to you or not, (which no one should care about, as you are helping the community), all those add requests are surely cluttering the thread. Here is my humble suggestion: how about we open a thread only for adding the lazy people who could not bother typing in the spreadsheet and also the genuine people, who have actually not been able to get themselves added to various reasons.
This way, this thread remains uncluttered, you continue doing the good work, personal benefit or not, and we can have other stock related discussions here. We can request mods to sticky that thread. Would you do the honors?

Cheers. Already ahead of you there mate. I did exactly that when this thread got locked, and I suggested it be stickied, but that didn't happen - I have no idea why. Unfortunately the main 30 series forum is so active at the moment that the thread I started was quickly pushed down 'below the fold', and although it was still being used a lot, as soon as this thread was unlocked everyone was just posting 'add me' back here again regardless, so I got that interim one locked and returned here. I'd be more than happy to have it separate if it could be stickied, but it seems nobody able to do it was interested when I suggested it.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  ..I think there's only one or two mods even capable of doing that.

What is interesting is that Celeras commented on that separate thread that THIS thread should be the one we use, and not that separate thread, and that I created that thread purely to spam associate codes (again, I created it because this one was locked). Now he is here saying the exact opposite. Speaks volumes doesn't it.

I'll consider stopping helping people with this if it's causing a problem, but considering the title and content of this thread, I doubt the requests will stop.
