Good morning. I registered for 3657 on 3/18. Does anyone know how much estimated time I have left to receive the card?

Your avatar spooked me, so I thought I'd start there and say well done...but it won't stop looking at me...

Anyway, No, we don't have any idea. You can try to put together a rough estimate by figuring out the launch date and then looking at enewt's SKU list to see where they are at in terms of who's gotten cards and when they hit the "notify me" button. You could try to draw some conclusion from that, but it will be difficult as we don't have any constant variables in the equation. We don't know how many people signed up, how many cards have sold, and we know there's not a constant or repeatable supply. All we know is how much time it has been since launch and how much time on the clock the queue has moved since then. If you try to draw a linear path from there, it will be wrong as the quantity of people that signed up for the queue would probably look somewhat like an exponential decay.

So all anybody can really do is throw guesses around and it would seem that it may take several more weeks for that SKU to get past launch day. After that, it will speed up, but it's totally unclear how much. So if I had to wager my guess for you, I'd put it at somewhere around July/August time-frame. Again, that's 100% guesstimation.

...Damn. I've been wanting to build my first PC since the beginning of 2020. This past year and a half has been like crawling out of a vault and into a wasteland. And sorry if my picture spooked you, I chose her pretty face because it resembles my constant watch and eagerness to receive my notification.

drewski989***Edit***  I am sure ASUS or Gigabyte would be happy to send LTT some $2300 3090s... or even some $800 3070s.

I'm sure most of us would prefer they did rather than using EVGA cards on LTT rather than the queue.  I've been sympathetic to the "They have agreements with NE/MC/BB/etc" arguments but this is just pulling the rug out from under people who have been waiting over half a year now.

Hard to give an estimate, but a VERY VERY long time. We're moving seconds to a minute per drop and we're back on launch day (2/25). Sorry, pal :/

... I wish EVGA would create a queue system for loyal customers who have bought thousands of dollars in products over time ...

How would EVGA distinguish between a gamer, a miner, a person who builds PCs as a side gig, or a scalper?  Loyal gamer customers might also build rigs on the side, dabble in mining, and maybe sell a card or two to make back some cash for more upgrades.  You never know.  They're all loyal customers when you look at the order book.

I am not talking about distinguishing between gamers, miners, etc. I am talking about having a priority queue for long time customers who spend thousands on EVGA. It seems you completely missed what I was saying.

Well, playing devil’s advocate they actually are. I’m sure BB, MC, and NE have collectively spent millions on EVGA till now, so in a way, they’re doing exactly what you’re asking them to do, no?

No, I understand.  My point is that looking at order volume doesn't get you a leg up.  It rewards gamers, miners, builders and scalpers alike.  This solves nothing if the issue we are having is increased demand to the many factors already discussed ad nauseum in this thread, and elsewhere.

edit: and it punishes new EVGA customers.  The future of their income.

Another week half done.  I'm starting to get apathetic to the releases.  Nice to see some folks getting their cards, but the ever diminishing supply released is anticlimactic.  Cards are going to etailers. I see the notifications from WalMart, Amazon, and occasionally BB.  Quantity of releases is key...and we just don't know.  We do know the stagnation of the queue for formerly rapid moving SKU's is disheartening.

Ok. Enough depressing Eeyore thoughts.  EVGA, Make it rain today!

I am not speaking of an order volume but of creating an actual benefit for being a repeat customer. Ex. If Elite membership was more difficult to get but actually gave you a priority queue on all product launches.

There are thresholds people could easily hit without doing volume purchases if they are recurring customers.

Sure new customers may not like it but it also incentives them to be repeat customers in order to get a meaningful benefit.

I agree on the 'making Elite more exclusive' point.  Seems pretty easy to get it.  Maybe institute an Uber Elite status.  Member since 2006, at least 3391 posts, forum name part of Ghostbusters franchise.

Given the fact that EVGA put this early Elite queue in place, they are at least thinking of ways to do the same thing.

They're making the point that since you want EVGA to look at customers who buy thousands of dollars in product over time, technically those retailers are customers who are spending thousands of dollars at once - not to mention how much they're spending over time. Those retailers are spending more than any of us ever could so if EVGA looks at those who spend a lot, they're going to continue prioritizing retailers.

I'm really contemplating on getting a GTX 1650 super 4GB for $600, just so that I can have something until I get my notification. Think it's worth it? I mostly play Bethesda games and some Siege every now and then.

I'm really contemplating on getting a GTX 1650 super 4GB for $600, just so that I can have something until I get my notification. Think it's worth it? I mostly play Bethesda games and some Siege every now and then.

$600 for a 1650 super?? damn the gpu market is in a bad way right now.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/04/14 08:42:33 (permalink)
Two thoughts this morning…

In Los Angeles, we are busy mourning the loss of a key movie theater chain (two really, but from the same company)…they have announced that their 12 locations -- some of the most iconic in LA -- will not be reopening.  Don’t worry, I am sure some or all of the locations will be picked up by one of the few remaining theater chains that came into 2020 with sufficient critical mass to survive. And, no, this is not investment advice regarding AMC…if you want that, go hit up WallStreetBets (and likely kiss your 30 series purchase money goodbye). Still, an end of an era in Los Angeles...and further evidence of the rise of interactive entertainment. "Gamers Unite! (Insert wicked cackle here...that ends in a cough (many of us have health issues))!"

Additionally, it is time to renew our silent prayers for our EU brethren.  "Oh Lord of Commerce and Shipping, we beseech thee....may you, in your infinite wisdom and capitalistic tendencies, have directed your loyal followers to secure EVGA pallets in shipping containers that do not currently reside on the backside of the Ever Given." Although she was refloated, the Ever Given has been impounded…Egypt wants to be paaaaaaid. (I have to believe that EVGA is airfreighting cards to the EU, but the small chance that there are some EVGA-branded pallets aboard her...well, lets hope not. Also, have a thought for the sailors on the Ever Given...they are captive to the situation as well....) In all seriousness, as bad as we North American line-sitters have had it, the EU team is really lacking any reasonable level of drop cadence and volumes; I hope it turns around soon.

Finally, yesterday's update was delivered a bit early (I had a lengthy work call scheduled for well into the evening and wanted to make sure y'all weren't left hanging) -- there were a few additional reports after the summary posted, including for the 3987 and the 3755 which are now included below.

It's Camel Day...go secure your card!

Keep an eye on the BuildAPCSales subreddit, there was a 1650 super drop for best buy earlier today for $280

They want way too much - $913 million. It stuck for a week, losses for canal administration is $14M/day, so around $100M and remain bill is around $800M. Somewhere I read that 800 people worked to release the ship. It is around $1M per worker per week! I can't imagine what equipment they should use to ask such huge bill... anti-gravity starship equipped with warp core?

Use associate code to save 3% on your EVGA GPU purchase! And up to 10% on other products!
