I've been watching the 3897 slowly creep up to my queue time for the last few weeks and then this came totally out of the blue for me this morning.  Pretty cool I guess.

Yes, sorry I didn't notice I didn't paste the part number with the rest of the notify for some reason but it was the 3987 that I got notify for, still waiting for the 3897.

Also for those waiting on 3897, its highly likely they are putting dies in either the 3898 or 3899 and waiting on some other parts. You guys seem to intentionally forget about any other queues that uses the same exact bin of 3080 lol
HC uses precision machined LC blocks so that might be the hold up, who knows...

It is a bit of a rub to see a stack of cards when the QUE is trickling

The wait is dreadful when this close. I am in for the 3897 (3080 ftw3 ultra) on 9/21/2020 9:59:13 AM. I wonder if anyone else got a notification past the latest 9/21/2020 8:28 AM post. Only 1.5 hours away and really hope to get the pre-increased pricing. It would be a hard pill to swallow knowing I am so close and say we get to 9:50 AM on April 16th only for me to get a notification for purchase the following week on Monday or Tuesday at increased prices.

Is it possible, if this spreadsheet is mostly accurate, that the large amount of notify registries for the 3897 on 9/21 were done by people not on the forum, reddit, etc. making it hard to track?

im sorry u put all your eggs into 1 basket no margin card that evga made one batch so they can fulfil nvidia's starting at msrp.. no really.. u didnt try hard. u didnt sign up early.. there are tons of people ahead of u.. you're also looking for grandfathered in pricing when they didnt have to.. u know what.. go buy zotac and their 503 website, or bot amazon/ bh photo/ asus or shufflelottery pick for your needs. bye

what do you have against Zotac had the 3080 trinity o.c,served me very well while i waited for the 3080/3090 EVGA
got the 3090 ftw3 ultra.theres nothing wrong with the Zotac card and if you pass one up because you fanboy out on EVGA

Nothing is wrong with zotac or any other aib. I’m pointing out that the user buying experience for other aib is worse than evga. But stay mad At evga while u visit this forum everyday for update on the queue lol

It’s as accurate as the people who enter their information. So there can be mistakes. As you noticed, the people that self notified in the spreadsheet do not represent the whole lot of people who registered for the 3897.

Here are my two reasons to be hopeful longer-term. 
 
1) miner demand for cards may soon come crashing down:

Waiting for ETH to crash may happen in a day or a week or a month  or a year.
Based on 2016 to 2017 the up cycle for ETH began in Apr of 2016 and ended in Jan of 2018 so 21 good months of mining.
This new cycle began in July 2020 add 21 months we go to April 2022.
I stopped making bets years ago. (I lost too much) but with lack of chips pretty much certain until next spring my guess is Eth has until Next year to crash not this year.
 
  A few hundred posts ago someone was talking about the 4000 series dropping and we should wait for it. He said it to be funny , but he could be correct.
I will add to it and say the 4000 series will be much like the 2000 series over priced and not a lot better than the 3000 series.
Frankly I am tired of not getting stock to do builds. I like to build pc's and have found the last four months a royal P.I.T.A.
 
 
Oh both BTC and ETH are rallying as I type.
 
on A whim I went to Amazon this morning 
 
searched nvidia 3070 only 3 cards listed. prices were 1600 to 1899
searched 3060 ti 0 cards listed there were a few pc builds
searched 3080 1 card listed 3000 and a few expensive builds
search 3090   a lot of them all 3300 and up 
 
 
I was surprised to see so few of the 3060ti,3070 and 3080

newegg shuffle is up...

Yes. All prices in EVGA shop after Jan 11 reflects the post-tariff pricing.

It's possible. I think that the card is just not being dropped, though. I honestly think we're hitting the point of NVIDIA running out of dies. It sounds crazy, but the demand has been insane and they can only make so much with their fabrication allocation. Obviously no way to confirm this, but it seems fishy that all the cards going right now would suddenly not be going to people either here or on Reddit, when before they were.

The drop in communication from Jacob compared to the beginning is telling as well.

I have been clocking the eth hash rate growth
 
an all-time high on thursday the 8th of 5.2 million nvidia 3080 gpus up from 5.1 million nvidia 3080 gpus
 
on tues the 7th that means 100k gpus added in 2 days.

so it looks to me like nvidia is simply sending the chips to big farms in Asia near their chip plants.
 
And until Eth crashes and burns we are not going to see much of anything.
I think the villain so to speak is not EVGA but Nvidia as they obviously are sending gear to big farms.
 
I know hash rate is made up of multiple types of gpus and asics. I use nvidia 3080 chip as it makes for easy math. 10 x the hash rate in the link translates to the amount of gear in only 3080's it would be.
 
The growth rate has been steady  and it is now over 2.3 million 3080's since Jan 1
