im sorry u get triggered by bro/bruh... but boomers need to adapt or die.. nobody uses dude/man anymore..

Riiiiiiiiiiight kid... Right...

And yes I said kid because saying ''boomers need to adapt or die'' is definitely not coming from anything else than the average 16ish self-entitled teen nowadays...

And plenty of people still use dude/man/mate nowadays, sorry to disappoint you.

So does anyone have the math chops to look at the past three months of data and see how far the que for the 3897 moves per week on average?

Well for the past 5 weeks now the 3897 only had 1-2 hours movement, constant stragglers days it seems. Still no end in sight for now.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/04/06 08:42:34 (permalink)
Hitch_ItchThere is not thousands of people in this thread that have replied "yes' to being notified
Not everyone reports back. Majority probably doesn't

Hitch_ItchI thought by change Enewt might have kept a count of the notifies since he works hard on the spreadsheet updates.
Of course he will not do that! First: it need more effort than track time stamps. And second: it does not make sense. Number of people who got notifications without knowledge of total number of people mean nothing.

Can we found actual numbers? Yes, we can. But not precise. My post a while ago:
nick_shlFound interesting thing. You can right click on "Remove Notify", then select "Inspect Element"(for Firefox). You'll see this:
onclick="return removeNotify('2763272','12G-P5-3657-KR','3/2/2021 7:12:01 AM');"
I bet that first parameter it is sequential number in line. There is my queue:
'2536211','08G-P5-3663-KR','2/15/2021 7:49:07 PM'
'2536213','08G-P5-3667-KR','2/15/2021 7:50:00 PM'
'2621460','08G-P5-3751-KR','2/24/2021 8:49:08 AM'
'2653138','12G-P5-3655-KR','2/25/2021 9:29:54 AM'
'2763272','12G-P5-3657-KR','3/2/2021 7:12:01 AM'
Unfortunately I cant check ID for product that I already was notified:
12G-P5-3657-KR     2/25/2021 9:03:28 AM PT    Yes
And because it is mixed queue(you can see my two first records - 53 second difference and 2 difference in ID) it does not provides much information.
First parameter is sequential numbers for all queues(and probably for all orders), so better precision achieved only at production launch - obviously at launch date post of people want to sign up for new products. This is the data was captured from some people who willing to share:
'2649516','12G-P5-3657-KR','2/25/2021 9:15:40 AM'
'2649695','12G-P5-3655-KR','2/25/2021 9:16:12 AM' ( 179 change in  32 seconds)
'2650934','12G-P5-3655-KR','2/25/2021 9:20:21 AM' (1239 change in 249 seconds)
'2653138','12G-P5-3655-KR','2/25/2021 9:29:54 AM' (2204 change in 573 seconds)
'2653501','12G-P5-3657-KR','2/25/2021 9:31:23 AM' ( 363 change in 90 seconds)
'2654381','12G-P5-3655-KR','2/25/2021 9:33:27 AM' ( 880 change in 124 seconds)
'2763272','12G-P5-3657-KR','3/02/2021 7:12:01 AM' 108,891 within 5 days
Unfortunately not everyone willing to do this. People are lazy. Some of them asking things like "I'm in the queue since October, any news about this?" while enewt's update placed on the same forum page!

Since Dec 10th ive got 1.002 Hr/Day for queue movement (Day that EVGA can send a notify - doesn't include weekends or holidays) . The average unfortunately won't do you much good though because we have exponential growth instead of linear and the drops are pretty inconsistent.

My IDs are back there somewhere as well.  I think Boora and a few other people shared them too, so it gives me a little certainty when I talk about 1060 drops - at least for the next 10-20 minutes of time stamps.  The problem is the ID goes away when the remove notify option goes away (which is ok for that person, they have at that point been notified).  That creates a lot of missing data.  I think the reason people don't do it is A) they don't know to do that, and B) Not everyone is comfortable looking at the underlying HTML.  I don't think it's about being lazy really.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/04/06 08:58:41 (permalink)
Welcome to Tuesday, my dudes and dudettes!

The EVGA queue is certainly training me well. My Postmates order of some burgers, fries and desserts went a little sideways last night...the restaurants did not include the two slices of cake in my bag (and don't judge me when I tell you that this was my anniversary night's dinner...at least I remembered; my wife did not). Fast forward 2 hours, 42 minutes and 47 seconds -- after being transferred from the payment issues department to the open orders department (to close the order because they wouldn't refund on an open order), back to the payment issues department, and then back to the open orders department (because apparently it wasn't closed the first time), and then back to the payment issues department, I got my refund on the two slices of cake. It was 9:21 pm at this point and my daughter (whose bedtime is 8:30) was laughing her head off on the floor -- she got to listen to the last hour of it as I had been trying to put her down for the night while remaining on hold....

A year ago I wouldn't have take almost three hours out of my life for around $14 and change...but something in me has changed...once in a queue, I am damn certain going to finish the effort; I need to establish for my daughter that there is inherent value in seeing something through to completion (and, if you are lucky -- like we are -- there can be some gut-splitting humor along the way).

Which leads me to today. Let's find a way to move past the salt mines and into a torrential downpour. It's Tuesday. Let's go!

As of 8:55 am PT Tuesday, April 6, this is the status of the North American queues (bolded font represents movement from the morning of April 5; italicized parentheticals calculate the length of movement from the prior report):

I got my card last week. Its supposed to arrive in the mail today. But I still find myself checking in here for your daily commentary. Love the story and the perspective. Cheers.
May the drops be plentiful today y'all.

But they aren't lazy enough to not endure multiple hours of hold times.  Postmates is in this area, but I've never used them.  I've settled into GrubHub the most, but DoorDash seemed to have more options for awhile.  With both of those, when I've had an item not arrive, I simply go in the app and say this didn't show.  My most recent time with that was about a week ago, I ordered steak and eggs for the miss, and a veggie power breakfast for me.  I got a bagel with salmon and cream cheese.  Click, click, click.  Refund.

It's amazing.  I wish buying a new GPU or CPU was as easy as this.  It'll get better though.  Good luck on making it to the complete purchase phase today.  If there would be some KPE drops, that would be amazing.

Hello! I'm in the queue since October, any news about this? Greetings!

08G-P5-3751-KR 10/29/2020
10G-P5-3885-KR 10/8/2020

10G-P5-3895-KR 10/6/2020
10G-P5-3897-KR 10/6/2020

I'm only signed up for the 3897 but I can tell you that I signed up on 9/21, I'm about 14 hours away in the queue, and I've been mostly stuck in the same place for the past 4-5 weeks (I could be off by a week in either direction...the last six months have started to blur together).

Hang in there. You're close. The 3897 is in between bottlenecks and 14 hours isn't all that much at the moment. I'm about 210 seconds away in the 3898 queue and I'm thinking June.

14 Hours? 210 Secs? Where can I see how much queue time I have left?

So who is ready for the 40series cards? I think we are closer to getting those then we are through this slow moving queue.

I was thinking about this and the 4000 series too. It would be absolutely nuts if the shortage goes all the way till the next series. Like the 3000 were never in stock for their entire life. CRAZY

I said it for months now, since like November 2020: it WILL reach the 40xx series and the 30xx queues will have moved barely a couple of weeks at most. Don't understand why people still believe it won't happen...

'Queue' is an interesting word.  It is just a 'Q' with a bunch of silent letters in a line behind it.

Happy Quesday, and good luck to you all!

4000 series will probably launch in fall of 2022.  Could be earlier in 2022, but why?  They're selling out across the board, there's a huge backlog of demand, and it gives them more time to try and stomp on AMD with the next release.  These odes to the might as well wait for the 4000 series don't make a lot of sense.  If you're good with what you have, perfect.  If you're not, you may not want to wait over a year for something else that might.. heaven forbid.. also be hard to purchase at launch.

True about the word.  But even though it's all a bunch of silent letters, I kind of cringe when I see it spelled as que.  I don't even know why.

I got my card last week. Its supposed to arrive in the mail today. But I still find myself checking in here for your daily commentary. Love the story and the perspective. Cheers.
May the drops be plentiful today y'all.

Thanks for the kind words. Be kind to your UPS driver and enjoy your new gaming goodness!

It was bad choice on my part...we were heading off -- as a family -- to pick up burgers from our favorite restaurant (yes, car trips for food pick-ups is a thing in my quarantined family). Our favorite burger joint is closed on Mondays (another aspect of the lockdown...forgetting what day it is).  So, from the passenger seat (I am the most expendable in the family, so I get the jump seat to run into get the food from the establishment), I used the mobile web to order from a backup burger place.  Their online ordering system used postmates -- a poor implementation.  Later, when I was seeking my refund, the app didn't recognize that I had made an order...lesson learned: ALWAYS USE THE APP.

LOL 2 1/2 hrs......dang  brah, sorry to hear that!
Did they at least tell you the cake is a lie? ;)

Back to monitoring drops and watching queues. C'mon EVGA....chop chop! *makes chopping motion with hands*

They did not. But they were very polite...as was I for the first two hours.  After that it was a bit of sarcastic disbelief...tinged with sincerity.  At least, that is how I hope I came off.  I was too incredulous to really notice.

Also, enewt doesn't just get information from this thread.  I found his tracker first on Reddit.  He's also said he tracks posts about notifies on Twitter.  He's at least three layers down the rabbit hole with what he is doing.  He focuses on last time reported of a drop.  He may keep count, but probably not.  There's only so much mental space any of us have.

My records are not perfect (for example, I did not track in all instances whether the report came from Reddit, Twitter, EVGA forums, discord, or another source), but I have 2089 reports from the North American queue. Some of those were "passed" on, so that gpu may have also generated a straggler report on a subsequent day. I am sure that the reports that make it to me are a subset (my SWAG is that reports are receive are likely less than 15%) of the total volume -- could be much less than 15%. I believe the total number to have dropped to the North American queues -- across all SKUs -- is north of 15,000.

So does anyone have the math chops to look at the past three months of data and see how far the que for the 3897 moves per week on average?

The average is just so skewed because we had weeks of heavy drops and then barely anything the last few weeks. We need for it to move consistently for a long period of time before we'd be able to calculate anything worthwhile.

im sorry u get triggered by bro/bruh... but boomers need to adapt or die.. nobody uses dude/man anymore..

Lunch time at school kid?

This is funny to me.  I am far from a boomer.  Bro is nothing new kind sir, neither is sus, or copped, or any of the stuff you think newer generations invented.  It is all recycled and circles around, a couple generations later kids pick it back up and think they started something.

Hello! I'm in the queue since October, any news about this? Greetings!

The time they listed is how far out their notification time is from the last reported time, that is NOT how much time they have left to wait. i.e. they are not getting a notification specifically in 14 hours. If you check out your notifies, you can see what your notification time and date is and compare that to where we currently are in Enewt's summary. Aside from that though, there's no real knowing. That 210 seconds for the 3898 is likely weeks away. Hope that helps!

Do we know the sample size as it relates to the entire group?  I poll 10 people, out of how many total?  We dont know...  I also poll on a forum for EVGA queue, is that possibly skewed?  I dont want to get in a political example, but you cannot poll X number of people in Wyoming or X number of people in San Franciso, then extrapolate.  At least in that example, you know about the total number of voters based on history.  We have no idea the total, so extrapolate to what, another unknown or assumption?

Listen, I get that the spreadsheet is some of the best info we have, but that is not saying much, since we dont have a lot of visibility into any of this.

Tshalev actually made a very strong point.  You're mixing up sample vs population.  I get why you may not really trust the sample, that's fair.  All we can do, other than a covert operation breaking into EVGA HQ and stealing their data (please no one do this), is take the information we have and go from there.

To other person:  Boomers will die.  So will you.  Embrace it, man.  And maybe dial back the cavalier take on what older people need to do.  You'll maybe get there one day.  Maybe even get a GPU from one of these queues, good luck.

Here is where I admit there is validity to what you guys are saying, yet it does not change my point.  We know the sample (the sheet) size, we do not know the total size (population).  I did mix up the terms, but my point remains...  We do not know if the spreadsheet represents 1% or 50% or 99% of the total people in the queue.  That makes a big difference in truly using it to predict the likely outcomes.

As for the boomer talk, I've been complaining about boomers since before there were millennials, just funny to me.

Depends where you are, but almost certainly less than 400.  Shipping might be 10-20 bucks, or higher if you choose something expedited.  Tax is whatever your state tax is, assuming you're in the US.  I can't see it being over 400 unless you are east coast and choose next day shipping.  You could always go through the checkout process for a similar in-stock item and then cancel the purchase to tell for sure.

enewt:  The other thing that is informative is the straggler days.  It's like, maybe some card moved a minute the day before.  Then it moves 20 seconds the next day.  It suggests that something like 30% of people pass or have stopped paying attention.  Assuming a steady Poisson distribution which makes sense for peak signup times.  That seems wild to me, but I don't know how else to explain the straggler day movements.
