Hello,

On EU website, the 3060 12gb will be added at the same time as US? 5PM GMT?

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/02/25 03:54:53 (permalink)
*sniffs the air* Anyone else smell the napalm coming?  Scorched Earth?

I'm having way too much fun slapping cry babies with reality checks tonight/this morning, I need to go to sleep. lol

People getting all bent outta shape over this stuff is so far past old, especially when it's new accounts that pop up outta nowhere, registered between when the 30-series launched and now, that have no posts & suddenly start crying foul that eVGA & NVidia are evil, the queue system is a sham & yadda yadda yadda.  It seems like we're getting bombarded with more of those every day.

People need to face the reality of how things are.  The queue system was created at a point where bot scalping was rampant, supply was bad, and eVGA wanted a way to at least reliably get SOME cards to actual users on their website.  Since then, supply has gotten WORSE, not better, because of Die shortages, VRAM chip shortages, and other component shortages... and now we're facing another down-turn with Chinese New Year's effects, that will probably result in most of March being a dead zone for drops.

Crying foul that eVGA are in league with Scalpers, what do they have to gain from that? Seriously?  If they wanted to do that, why wouldn't they just list the cards themselves on EBay & resell them to the highest bidder every time they have stock?  NVidia are the ones directly selling GPUs to miners.  eVGA is just over here prioritizing SKUs that are better profit margins to try & survive until this absolutely ridiculous tragedy of a supply chain issue hopefully someday resolves itself.

No, I am not targeting anyone in this thread, just re-stating some facts that a lot of people seem to want to create their own "alternative facts" for.

Yeah, the queue system is running at slug speed, and there's not a whole lot anyone can do about it, especially now - instead of complaining on forums, perhaps people should go out and enjoy their families while they're still around and the like, especially in times like these when you never know when someone's going to catch the Rona & poof.

One thing that continually irritates me, is when people get all "bark bark bark" then when you hit them with counter bark they go "I just want a card" or "I'm just trying to survive in these trouble times" - then why are you attacking other people just trying to do the same?  Hypocritical much?

Frustrations are high, tensions are high, take a breather if you need to, instead of lashing out at someone that A: definitely doesn't deserve it and/or B: will do little more than laugh at childish behavior.

Also, the fact that someone supposedly claiming to be educated on the issues didn't get my "NaCl Mining operation" reference really cracked me up.  BANG BANG.

Good luck with the drops today guys, hope we at least get some, here's my daily reminders cuz why not:

  • Associates Code gets you a discount (3% off GPUs, up to 10% off other products on eVGA.com, several people have Associates Code links in their signatures)
  • When registering your card (after you receive it), use an eVGA Rewards Code when registering, it gives the person who's code you use 2 free eVGA Bucks; consider looking through the thread for someone that has one listed & has not gotten their GPU yet - it's not much, but it's something
  • Hybrid card tube length is 400mm and should be mounted as exhaust whenever possible to avoid feeding your system lava air as intake
  • if you purchase a card elsewhere, don't remove your notifies until you receive it, just to be on the safe side
  • PSU recommendations are 750-850W Minimum for a 3080, 850-1000W for a 3090 if you want to be on the "safe" side
  • Lastly, Kingpin fan cords are only 6" long, and the stock fans are garbage, you should plan on replacing them

Have a good morning everyone, I'm probably gonna go catch some Z's after being up ~36 hours :-D FOR SCIENCE!

Hello there!

I'm checking my notifies and I have *none*. I've placed a notify on december for 3060ti and today I did check to see my exact timestamp to share it with reddit. Surprise, it's deleted. I can only see a red banner advising us to not ask for queue info to EVGA staff. How come?? Does this mean I did lose my queue!?

EDIT: My bad, was logging in on US site, my notifs are well and safe at EU site :P

No offense my dude but if I had a card like you currently do I would probably have the same mindset as you do, but I don't, so obviously I'm frustrated, which many are justifiably.

All of us started out willing to wait, but 5 months into the process, it really tries your patience.

@Dabadger84 - Preach.  I am so tired of the constant crying.  Some people make an effort to make the best of a bad situation, some people do nothing but complain that the situation isn't resolving.

I do empathize with those who signed up for one SKU on 9/16 and haven't gotten a single drop, but there has been so much opportunity to get cards a million ways since then.  You can be stubborn and wait, or you can get on the grind and score one, either in another queue or in the wild.

EVGA is not responsible to get anyone a card, yet they establish a system to try to do so.  EVGA is not obligated to give a grandfathered price window on queue cards, yet they do.  EVGA is not the problem here, but if you feel they are, I am sure the other AIBs would love to sell you a card, good luck with F5 and post-tariff pricing.

I don't have a card yet I agree with him. Most people lashing out are being irrational and not even targeting the responsible parties while at it. A lot of misinformation being passed around and unnecessary hatred for things or people they do not understand. Is Nvidia to blame? Yes, but who cares because nothing can be done about it atm. If you want to prevent issues like this in the future either buy AMD cards so they will have higher production of gaming cards.

If you need an upgrade now, these are the options:

1. Buy a prebuilt - Ive tried this but received a DOA 3070. Ibuypower and Cyberpower have decent deals on 3070s and 3060 ti systems. (4-8 week wait time)
2. Watch r/Buildapcsales and hope Bestbuy gets enough stock and lets you checkout. (Ive had no luck here)
3. Newegg shuffle. (Ive had no luck here.)
4. Notifications from EVGA. (I signed up late but that is my fault for believing NVIDIA would try to fix stock issues.)
5. Get a bot and outbot the botters. (Coding or a deep wallet required)
6. Buy from scalpers (This won't improve the market)

That's fine, we can agree to disagree. Again, it's so easy for people to say, "you can wait, be patient, so many other ways to get a card" while their system already has a 3000 series card running perfectly. Some of the attacks are off the wall, but that's the way some people cope with this extraordinary situation we have here.

GOOD MORNING!  Good luck and let's see it rain today.

BTW, is today going to be a purchase the 3060 day, or only sign up for our queue day?  Honest question.

For prior launch days, they had invites to purchase emails (ie inventory) that day. They just happened to be sent out an hour later or so than most drops occur — a reasonable delay given the circumstances, I think.

So the 3060 releasing today is it a TI or just a base 3060?

I still have my 980TI and according the GPUvs the base 3060 is only 25% faster, doesn't seem to be worth going for this one...

I don't think it helps much when someone starts off with "having too much fun slapping cry babies" when they make an otherwise legitimate criticism.  On one hand, it is kind of like stealing Christmas from people when they realize what their wait may potentially be.  On the other, it's not a huge cabal.  Nvidia and eVGA aren't out to hose people over.  It's just a large cluster.  All's you can do is drive yourself mad scouring websites and twitter for card drops, only too often to have any order you try to place wind up sold out, or sit and wait.  Have a cup of coffee, and just relax.

And I do agree that for some people it's a little bit too easy to say ''shut up, sit down, be patient'' while they already have one. People are obviously frustrated and that frustration is valid: do not downplay it just because you managed to get a card already.

That is entirely up to you. It may not be an earth shattering improvement over a 980ti in performance, but you gain basic ray tracing capabilities and a MUCH more efficient card. (less power and heat). EVGA has the best pricing, too. Everyone else has jacked up prices well beyond EVGA.

Hmm I think I will pass... I'm queue for multiple cards, bare minimum being 3060TI on the list, think I'll pass for the base 3060. Seems like too much trouble for so little gain (again unless I'm clearly missing something).

Its a graphics card. There are worse things to be missing in your life and taking it out on people wont help. People can be frustrated and write Nvidia an angry letter instead of lashing out by wishing malice on others.

The 3060 is releasing today, no TI models. 3060 is about 2070 level performance.

Newegg shuffle has 6 3060s up for raffle.  2 of them EVGA models.  $329 and 399 for the EVGA ones.

And I do agree that for some people it's a little bit too easy to say ''be patient'' while they already have one. People are obviously frustrated and that frustration is valid: do not downplay it just because you managed to get a card already.

No, according to early benchmarks, 3060 is about 2060 super level. Which is pretty pathetic.

Sad.  But it would be great for someone running a 970 or 1060 at 1080p.

There is only like a ~4% difference between the 2060 super and 2070? Linus' benchmarks show it (3060) being slightly faster than the super. Regardless, I don't see why I am wrong.

If Newegg is doing a Shuffle for the 3060 it means, to me, that inventory is also very low on this release as well.  Or, maybe they are only selling them this way?

Most were probably sold to mining farms with custom BIOS/drivers. lmfao
