sidm2K9 What's the latest on the 3895 drops? I have a 9/22 wait and am hoping I can get it on that before the April price increases.
It looks like it hasn't dropped ever: "3895 09/16/2020 00:00:00". Not to be negative, but unless there is divine intervention, I see the chance of you getting your card before april to be relatively low. You would have to hope that all the people that signed up for that card have already gotten their card as they are in other queues. But the straggler train would take a while to reach you.

defensor Right. I’ve been killing it with a 650ti for years. Sounds like a C-130 taking off when it heats up. Started building a new pc in Aug...and here I sit with no new GPU. I’m not complaining, it’s just the state of the market right now. Not going to spam...though 80% of the posts on this board have zero to do with “notification checkout process.”
Nobody seems to have the will to do anything about it. I don't post in forums very much, but I have noticed that the level of moderation can vary greatly. The topic around here seems to be "computers", and as long as it stays more or less between those lines it doesn't get removed. I come here less now than I did last fall because of the spam. I don't read what's between when I posted last and when I logon again because it's mostly spam. I don't want to hear every minute detail about another stupid computer build, not here at least. I don't want to hear scalpers brag about how they auctioned used 3000-series cards and made money, not here and not anywhere else for that matter. These days I tend to scan for posts that mention SKU's and/or time stamps, along with enewts updates. Looking at it through another lens though...... Some folks are isolated right now. Some were probably a little isolated even before COVID, and are now in uncharted territory. I'm not about to bury the moderators with flagged posts that have zero to do with the queues. Let 'em ramble about their next build, or whatever staves off boredom for them. I will just scroll on by and count the days until I have no reason to come back to what has become a place for people to vent about their first world problems more than anything else. ------------------------------------------------------ That said, I hope the 3898's move this week. None moved last week so the odds are high based on what has happened so far. Below are that dates that 3898 emails have gone out. December 1, 2, 10, 16, 17 January 15, 22, 26, 27, 29 February 9 You can see the Xmas gap, and you can also see that February has been really quiet. If another week goes by without a drop it can only mean that production has stopped and that is never good. The lunar new year won't work as an excuse until we get into mid-March and beyond, and even then it might not amount to a big delay in card shipments. Has Nvidia said anything official about stopping production because of the new year celebrations? I haven't heard anything. Is the shipping port in Tawian idle? I doubt it.

Not wasting anything, just saw that Jacob posted about 3895 dropping on Fri so became hopeful..not hurting for a card with a 3090 fe and canceled most of my notifies but would love to snag this if given the chance.

If we get a notification email for a 3060 and buy it, will that disqualify us for the other notifies on our list? I'm so discouraged, I'll literally buy any 30x0 at this point, just so it can tide me over for what I really want which is the 3080.
(I have all these brand new parts just aging and getting dusty on top of my new Case.)

No, getting the notification for one SKU does not remove you from any of the queues for the other SKUs. Hope that helps! :)

Is what available in the EU? Signing up in line for notifications? Yes, but rumor is that the list is moving even more slowly in the EU, sadly.

I just spoke with an acquaintance who is an importer. He says that there are many ships backed up at the Port of Los Angeles awaiting unloading. The backlog is due to the fact that manpower at the docks has been reduced due to COVID-19. Hopefully, many of those ships have EVGA cards (and other brands of GPUs, CPUs, and gaming consoles) on board. If so, Jacob's prediction that card availability will improve in the next couple of weeks may be correct. My first choice is a 3060 TI, but I'd take a 3070 or a 3060 instead. I just want SOMETHING reasonably priced, that's noticeably faster than my GTX 970 FTW.

card availability will not improve for some time "months" but more than likely you'll see no improvement the rest of year.the only chance you have is that EVGA decides to actually start dedicating some cards to this so called "list",as of now they are still continuing to feed 3rd party sellers which in turn is nothing more than feeding the scalpers the scalpers know this as well just look at the price 1800.00-2500.00 for a 3080.the signs are all there its getting worse not better.EVGA holds all the cards and the deck is stacked !!!

They have contracts to provide products to retailers and these are long term contracts. It is clear business decision to keep honoring these contracts as the shortage will not continue forever and people will not always buy directly from evga. Also, you think there are no scalpers who sign up for the EVGA queue? They probably have many accounts and use bots to sign up quickly.

I'm a retired lawyer. Skleidnbfoies is correct. EVGA and other OEM cardmakers have contracts with retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, etc. that they must honor if supply is available. EVGA can only use the excess over its contractual obligations for direct sales to individuals like me and the others in the queue with home EVGA does NOT have contractual obligations. EVGA does NOT "hold all the cards." EVGA is in the business of selling cards. It maximizes revenue and profit by producing and selling as many as it can. EVGA does not like scalpers any more than we do--and neither do the retailers--because the scalpers take money that would otherwise be go to manufacturers, retailers, and/or consumers, depending on how the prices would shake out absent the scalpers. Scalpers do make purchasing cards more expensive during a shortage, but they do NOT reduce the overall supply. That is because they need to resell the cards they buy in order to make a profit. No scalper--except the very dumb ones--hoards his purchases. Once the supply increases, scalpers will have to sell at less than retail because people prefer to buy from an authorized retailer, to make any needed warranty claims easier.

It only goes out during business hours (usually around 9am or 10am PST) so you shouldn’t sleep through it (unless you’re on third shift or something)!! Although even if you do, there have been many people who missed out on the window and were still able to contact EVGA Customer Service and get their card ordered, so don’t fret! :)

Hi mate, I’m still not entirely sure if you’re referring to the 3060 or the 3060 Ti.. the 3060 Ti is already released and should be (to my knowledge) “currently available” in the EU. I only put that in quotation marks because of supply issues, but it’s technically released. As for the 3060, it has not launched anywhere yet and should be coming out later this week, as a matter of fact. So while you keep saying 3060 Ti, would I be correct in thinking you mean the standard 3060?

You're at least waiting for a card that's actually moving, there are plenty that are still stuck on launch day.

Yep, there is a Wall St. Journal article from February 8 that discusses it. The number of ships waiting started to jump last June, due to COVID and there being more inbound ships than usual. If you Google "WSJ shipping companies look at sailing away from choked southern california gateways" it should be right there at the top. I don't know if the slowdown has been even worse over the past couple of weeks since the article was written, but it would explain why there hasn't been much queue movement this month.

We get that you’re frustrated, mate. A LOT of us are right there along with you. The way I see it, the queue isn’t moving as quickly as desired, but in the end, it’s just a backup system. None of the other companies are doing it and you are still able to look elsewhere. You can try for a card as if you weren’t in the queue and eventually if you can’t find one, you’ll be able to buy one from EVGA. So as frustrating as it is, it’s at least better than nothing, in my opinion.

jobitz8750 I've been waiting since 10/6/2020 for a notification to order a 3897. Is this just pointless at this point? I'm really, really f-in sick of this crap. Why would EVGA advertise a queue system that it didn't plan on using?
We get that you’re frustrated, mate. A LOT of us are right there along with you. The way I see it, the queue isn’t moving as quickly as desired, but in the end, it’s just a backup system. None of the other companies are doing it and you are still able to look elsewhere. You can try for a card as if you weren’t in the queue and eventually if you can’t find one, you’ll be able to buy one from EVGA. So as frustrating as it is, it’s at least better than nothing, in my opinion.
For some of us, this queue may be the ONLY way to realisticly get an MSRP priced 3080. Seems they are fewer and fewer available to the general public as they are scarfed up by miners in seconds when found in the wild.

And many have Notify in Sept. Looking at dead SKUs that never move. It is not good, but better than most others.

Can you tell us which SKUs you are registered for? I'm going to assume you only got in the queue for some of them, because the 3665 is already on to 12/8/2020. Could you give us some more info? Although likely, it'll be next to impossible to predict when your number will be called for you.
