Anyone know if I'm signed up for all of the 3090 series and some 3080 will I get to buy all of the ones I'm signed up for?  We have a few machines here and we need the cards but I would rather get a 3090 first if I'm going to be locked out of buying a 3090 series if I get a 3080 first.

Supply isn't any worse than before. You just have more people, plenty of folks skipped the 20 series. Also, you have more people working from home able to buy online at a moments notice.  You have a larger variety of gamers, bringing in more people with more $ to spend on higher end cards.  The 3070 in raw performance is aprox the titan x pascal from 2016 (ignoring the rtx/dlss marketing of a 3070>2080ti) . Sandbagging has been going on for 4 years. Not surprised this launch will have so many people trying to get a card.

Nvidia definitely win Paper Launch Oscar. I do not recall the worse launch than this 3000 series cards. Anyone?

 
I do not recall either. You can give them oscar, gold medal, platinum trophy or whatever you want.

I am thinking that if we all can be a little bit patient, things will start moving forward with the notifications. I’m sure EVGA and other manufacturers are doing their best to ramp up production as it seems like they will be able to sell as many of these 30 series cards as they can produce, and of course the more they sell, the more profitable it will be for them. I don’t see any reason to artificially constrain supply to try and build demand as interest in these cards is already unbelievably high. As soon as more supply becomes available, each new sale will move a customer out of the demand pool helping to balance supply and demand. In addition, each sale to someone in this queue will probably result in several to many notifications being cancelled, moving everyone left in those queues closer to the top. I will get the first card I get a notification for, and then I will be cancelling 4 other notifications. As more people in the queue do something similar, things should start to accelerate. Thanks to the EVGA team for adding the cancel notify button, that should help speed things up.

Maybe wishful thinking, but trying to stay positive!

If they (EVGA) would be a little more transparent, it'd be easier to be patient.

If they were more transparent they’d lose **** tons of customers and fawners because they know that those who aren’t on 9/17 are staring down the barrel of several months probably.
