Searching the net this morning and 2 NY based micro centers had 3090 ftw3 ultras, Brooklyn NY QTY-10, Flushing NY QTY-13.
So I darted out of work at 10:30 to run to Brooklyn NY to grab a 3090, didn't want to spend this much on a GPU, but the wait and the scalpers was just getting under my skin lmao. so now waiting on ek water block, I'm gonna leave the card sealed with the hopes of a 3080 popping up before water block, then I could return and put cash back in pocket, but if water block shows before, well guess I have more card than I'll ever need.

If you keep the 3090 you have the ability to pay for a warranty extension to 5 years. I am thinking of doing it for the 3090 I got.

O_o if you had a shot at a 5800X at MSRP you should take it unless AMD isn't your chosen upgrade path, why wouldn't you? Getting one of those at retail price is still pretty hard to come by last I heard.
yea i bought it gives me a reason to build another PC or upgrade my 3600.
I had a 5800x at launch, put it on a X570 Taiichi with a D5 pump and 240 AND 280 rads, I had to leave the gpu out of the loop so the CPU was the only thing on the loop. Anyway, the 5800x handily beat my OC'd and Custom looped 9900k. I sold the 5800x and stepped up to a 5950x, the speed is a little better but the 5950x is like a Tanker-it just carries everything with ease.
You will love the 5800x. I will say that the amd 5000 series really really love to be kept cold. Air coolers are a waste of time get an AIO as big as u can fit and push pull the air, or custom loop. This brings a massive improvement to Allcore OC AND PBO OC.
At $449.99 for the 5800x, I rather add $100 extra for 4 extra cores and double the amount of cache for the 5900x. It's way better value than the 5800x in my opinion. I also gone from a i9 9900k 5ghz core 1.284v with 46x cache and 4000mhz c16 ram to a 5900x currently o/c to 4.75 ccx0/ 4.625 ccx1 1.3v with ram limited to 3733c16 due the motherboard I bought max out a 3800mhz 4 dimm and the infinity fabric tends to be unstable beyond 1866mhz. The performance difference in gaming between 5900x oc and 9900k oc is tiny bit better in MMORPG. However the biggest difference I had is the power consumption during MMORPG gaming where the 9900k will spike to 175w and average between 120-140 and the 5900x will only spike to no more than 140w and average between 90-110w. My modified dark rock pro 4 was barely able to handle the 9900k at 5ghz air cool with cinebench r20 tops out at 93c, but now with the 5900x barely breaks 83c r20 max. My gaming temp with CPU also dropped by 10c went from 78c average with 9900k to 68c average with the 5900x. My secondary PC is a ryzen 3600 o/c to 4.5ghz at 1.3v with a cheap vetroo v5 $25 cooler 82c at r20. I feel like air cooling zen 3 is still a decent choice if you have high-end air coolers and stay below 1.3v for a 12 core 5900x. I don't have any air cooling experience with the 5800x nor 5950x but I do know these chips tends to run hotter than the 5900x/5600x.

Well a little easy, I forgot to reorder my riser cable for vertical mounting, I used the one I had in my sons pc, also it would be awesome if I landed a 3080 before water block shows up, just to save some cash, LMAO. Never would I have thought I would sink big money into a PC, think I had a lapse of judgment for a little while, and the mechanic in me wanted to bend tubing. OH and how do you get an idea of your queue position?

They probably just plain haven't made anymore since the initial batches - it's a low profit card with an MSRP that's going to go up, more than once, over the next few months, most likely, so I wouldn't be surprised if that card basically doesn't exist until after April.

Btw do you all think it's it's good idea to buy all ml120 pro fans for the hybrid 3080? I currently have 3 of them for intake at bottom of lian li o11d xl case and the top has 3 standard fans for the top of the line corsair 360mm aio and there is also one back fan for exhaust

Original plan was buy 3 ml120 pros and use the stock rad fans for pull with 3 fans pushing from face side having air pushing out of case for front/side exhaust

Heeeey, would having a 8 fan powered hub hooked up to the hybrid card give gpu fan control but power come from the hub itself leaving gpu with full power?

Evga website will do it with any legit 3090 seller. IE I got mine at newegg I can do it. it is pretty cheap price for an expensive item. https://www.evga.com/warranty/extended/ I just did it so I am now 5 years. on the 3090

If the Hub has a PWM signal/control wire that's supposed to go to motherboard, you can plug that in to one of the Hybrid card's headers that are meant for the radiator fans and control them via software, while they aren't robbing power from the card at all (because they're powered by the Hub which is powered by your PSU). I've considered doing that with one of my splitters, but for now, I like the fan speed on the GPU radiator being controlled by the thermocouple temp that I have hooked up to the GPU radiator exhaust air - so they only speed up when the GPU is running warm, otherwise they sit at a docile & dead-silent 950RPM. While still moving a fair bit of air, because Vardar fans.

The last two days they have been in drops & at this point with the slow movement of the 3663 I should get the 3070 first I guess if would have signed up for 3665 on the same day I should have a  by now
