Urobulus Can someone ask Jacob for an actual REAL answer as to why we see movements on everything BUT the 3080s since the past 10+ days?
I guess you just did, because Jacob does look at these forums

It would be silly to expect an answer other than "because nvidia doesn't have any chips available for us to buy".

s.karkav still no movement on those 3080s, damn Also I'm really confused as to where the 'european' lists are. I signed in through the eu site, have my ticket since oct or something, nto sure if i'll even be able to order it if my ticket comes up, or if I'm somehow in the NA queue. Nyeh
Check the following to pages. That should tell you where you are registered: https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp https://eu.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp Best of luck! zxrax Just got my email for the 3090 FTW3 Hybrid! 24G-P5-3988-KR 12/10/2020 9:27:13 AM PT Yes Much thanks to enewt for all the work keeping everyone in the know! I will definitely be using your code :). Happy hunting to everyone else! Side note: has anything come out about the hydro copper cards or blocks? I'm looking to eventually convert to a custom loop, does EVGA historically sell the block separately ever, or only the card+block? Would be nice to be able to buy the block so I don't have to buy a whole new card and sell this one, though I'd understand if that's not going to be possible.
Congratulations on your new Hybrid! Thanks for reporting back to the thread. Also thank you for using my Associate’s Code for your 3% discount at check-out. Enjoy your new card! P.S. I believe the HCs are still delayed until late Feb or early March. Because we haven't heard anything new for a few weeks, I tend to think that means we are really talking about March (not late February).

Heyoooooo what'd I miss? Good luck today everyone, your weekday reminders: - Don't forget to use an Associate's Code during checkout, it will save you 3% off your GPU purchase, and up to 10% on other purchases. All you have to do is use the code at checkout (a few useful ones: Mine: 47AQQ6KPU2IZNXY - Enewt's: VDN2319M4O569J4 ) or click the links there & it will make a cookie to insert the code automatically during checkout, then when you receive your card, be sure to register it & upload your invoice from the EVGA order page. My eVGA bucks from this in particular will be going to a Z590 Dark board, so I appreciate anyone that uses my code greatly ;)
- Keep in mind if you're ordering a Hybrid card: the tubing is 400mm in length, and the radiator + fan combo is about 56mm thick; Hybrid card radiator exhaust can be in excess of 34-41C air, having it setup as intake is not recommended even in a CPU AIO/GPU AIO setup, as unless you have a very high core count CPU that puts out more than 400W of heat, the GPU radiator will always be the hotter of the two.
- If you purchase a card elsewhere, it's best not to remove your notify queues until you receive the card, just to be on the safe side, as if you do remove it then have to requeue, you would be at the back of the line. Once you receive your card & remove yourself from other queues, kindly let us know which cards you removed yourself from queue for, so that others in those queues know they've effectively moved up a spot.
- It is recommended that you have, at the bare minimum, a quality 750W (or in my opinion, 850W) PSU for a 3080, and at least a 850W (or in my opinion, 1000W) PSU for a 3090, especially if you plan to overclock your CPU and/or other components at all. Keep in mind that OCed CPUs quickly go up in power draw in most cases, i.e. a 95W TDP CPU like a 9900K can get up to 170-190W of draw from a simple 5GHz OC like mine. Even if you're running a 3080 on a stock system, I would definitely recommend against going with less than 750W at a bare minimum, just to avoid any future issues.
- Also, keep in mind if you're getting a Kingpin, the fan cords on the radiator are ONLY 6" long (and the fans themselves are trash, I recommend replacing them immediately, the fan blades are too far apart & too small, and they're far too loud for the amount of air they move at maximum speed).
Be safe out there, and may the Schwartz be with you!

At this point I've decided it's going to be faster, and in the long run cheaper, to just buy a pre-built with a 3080 or 3090, gut the GPU, and flip the rest of the hardware. Shame the only way to reasonably get one of these is to shell out 2K plus on an entire system.

Or use a bot to get one. I keep hoping that mine will finally snag one eventually (aiming for a STRIX with this one while waiting for the EVGA queue that will never end here). EDIT: Please do not PM me I won't tell you what bot I'm using and where to find it.

That or drive the 6hrs down to NYC on a Tuesday night after work, stay in a hotel, and wait at a Micro-center all day Wednesday on my day off in hopes they have either a 3080 or 3090 in stock. If I had anyone I knew there I'd PayPal them the funds, shipping cost, and a couple hundred for their time to snag one for me and ship it.

My father-in-law is doing that. Buying a Dell/Alienware. I priced it out over the weekend. It is expensive for what you get. Seriously expensive. I am curious to see what brand they give him for his 3080...probably PNY.

Also something I've started to consider, though it sketches me out just a little too much to feel comfortable doing so. See how things go by the end of this month and I may consider that further though.

do you have any facts to back up your stmt. 3XXX series chips are made by samsung not TSMC. Do you think they never thought about the demand when they announced 3070 card at $499 which is more than $500 cheaper than previous gen similar performance card.

Don't feel bad for using one: that's pretty much the only way you can level up the field now to get one since everyone is going that route. I don't have regrets at all because I'm not scalping, I just want a friggin' card.

Newegg have a few pre-builts up that ship directly from Newegg sporting 3080's that price out at just over 2000., which given the rest of the builds after the GPU cost, yeah it's a little more than just parting them out, but not as bad as paying scalper prices for the GPU. I have a friend who's got a kid that is just starting to get heavy into PC gaming and needs a newer machine to play on, I could sell the rest of the hardware off to him (and even give him my rtx2060, but I think that's getting swapped back into my old rig) for even a small loss and be happy with it really. Or just go full on jerk mode, part it down individually, and recoup costs via Craigslist or eBay. It's pretty stupid that this is something that even has to be considered to get one of these GPU's at this point. Total failure all around on every company involved with this (and AMD's) situation.

Yup, thanks, but my issue is both those sites show the exact same notifications. Ergo I'm really not sure if something's borked or not. I even tried signing up again for a card or two just to see what happens, which resulted in those cards getting new dates for both sites. Confusing. Oh well, even if I do get an NA notif I'll just buy that via a friend in NA and have him ship it to me so it's not a giant deal breaker.

Falcodrin has been great for me. 2 3070s and 1 3090. You have to just have the Discord channel up while you're working and jump fast if there is an alert. FYI, not scalping - 3070s for my sons and the 3090 is for me (of course!) Now I just need one more card for my wife's Battlefield PC and I'm all set. She has a 2070 and only plays 1080p so I'm going to wait for my notify for that one though.

If anyone really wanted to go that route and use a bot, they would not have to look very long.. there are quite a few available out there in the wild. I am definitely not going to promote the use of a bot.. as bots were (and still are) a good part of the reason for many people not being able to land a card. If using a bot is something you choose to do, that's on you.. I'm not touching that @#$%. I'll gladly wait my turn in the queue.. and if I score one elsewhere, well.. just a win there too. Good luck!

EU, but the site up top is different and the 'please note' red warning is missing from the eu version of the notification site. I'm just hoping evga site is smart enough to only have my eu notifs saved, so i can maybe get a card in the next 3-4 months :3 Thanks!

So, are the auto notifies these websites offer just total BS? Because I've seen things go in and out of stock just checking on my own, but I have not received a single email from any site about restocks. Like I get that I'd probably be too slow anyway, but they don't even send me anything.

Not at all: the reason why is because people using bots ordering TONS and tons of cards instead of just 1 per person. Even if everyone is using bots but order just 1 card it won't be a problem, it's ordering a truck ton of cards per person that is. So yeah as a single person that is only trying to get a single card after months of waiting no, I don't feel bad about using a bot, and I sure as hell am not part of the problem one bit.
