None of us know for sure. In the purchase email thread, a group of guys in the time range from 07:15 to 7:30 have been getting people to report when they got an e-mail. There's a lot of people that don't post but there is a lot of people that fill the holes in them to get an idea of where they are at. It's fun to guess.

Did anyone happen to mention how many FTW3 Ultras they are sending out this week or with XC3 Black would be with the XC3's next week? I think on the unofficial list like like 100 on the FTW3 Ultra and 15 on the XC3 Black.

To those who are salty about the queue, it may not be perfect, but 99.9% of these queued cards are going to actual gamers and not bots/scalpers. Newegg, and most other retailers don't even deserve stock at this point with how bad they have managed this launch.

Queue system potential major flaw clarification.
2020/10/08 16:04:23
(permalink)
Unless I missed it (strong chance I did): what stops someone from being able to potentially buy multiple cards before others have even had the opportunity to buy 1? The limit is 1 card per household PER SKU, and unless I missed it, you don't get any sort of reset after you get an email and make a purchase. So if you were one of the first to have signed up for all 5 3080 SKU's, you will have the opportunity to potentially buy 5 cards before most of us ever even receive our email for 1. If that's the case, EVGA couldn't have possibly made it any easier for people to keep buying cards to flip, meanwhile everyone is locked out from buying any other way aside from the queue system. Or did I overlook something?

I hope not. That’s not really fair for the rest of us that are waiting for FTW3, and submitted a notification request early.
There will be shipments of XC3s next week according to Jacob.

The entire queue system is literally not fair. The only people happy about it are people among the first to sign up on the 17th. Everyone else is just stuck waiting until December - January for our purchase emails. The queue system should have only began AFTER Jacob made the announcement about it. Ridiculous to go all the way back weeks prior to that when no one had the slightest clue that it would be your place in line for a card. Lots of people didn't/don't bother with auto notify because it either fails to send at all or sends way too slow.

The first two days of ftw3 ultra they covered all of 9/16 and the first 7:17 of 9/17. Today only had a "small drop" so they only covered 5 more minutes until 7:22. The spreadsheet said 7:20 but someone on this thread mentioned 7:22. Also going by the spreadsheet, a large percentage of people signed up 9/17 at 7:15am to 8am and it becomes more spread out after that. So we're going to see it crawling a few minutes a day because of the sheer number of signups. But once its past the hump the dates will start moving faster.

Each sku will have its own queue. If we moved you into the other queue with your date, you would be effectively jumping multiple people who are currently waiting and would not really be fair to them.

To play the devils advocate here... whats to stop someone from using multiple email addresses? Or my wife is 1 of 7, what if her Dad wants to buy one for each of his kids... my point is, where there's a will theres a way, and no plan is perfect. but EVGA is trying, and given what little the other retailers are doing to stop bots from poaching cards cards, EVGA is doing the most it can and is reasonable. They even went so far as to give users a way to check our place in line....kinda... rather to check that you have actually registered once people asked for it. Your question is valid, you didn't miss anything. I just don't see that it is reasonable that they limit beyond one per sku. For the record, I am only looking to purchase one... I hope 3090 FTW3 Ultra... I am low on that list so fingers crossed Cheers man!

I'm not saying anyone should be limited beyond the 1 per sku. I'm saying how is it a fair system that literally thousands of people WILL DEFINITELY get purchase emails for multiple cards before most people ever get an email to buy their measly 1?

Only 4k users should worry about going over 10gb. And even that problem can be solved by turning texture size down 1 tick. Probably not even noticeable.

yea.... I really wanted a 3090, I signed up for a 3080 early on but quickly learned the auto notify was trash... Seeing as how it appeared it was going to be a elite member opportunity I was relived and didn't sign up for every dang card. Then this came out and I was like derp! My earliest que for a 3090 is 10/5 At this point I'm just like give me what ever card. I'm using a 2070 on a multi 4k screen threadripper build. I doubt there is a step up from the 3080 to the 3090 but even if when will it be, oh well.
I have been a registered customer for over 10 years and yea ... I'm glad I'm in a que at least but :-( I wish the sales reps could take a little better care of their loyal members.

Latchback
gamernskater Man the list for 9/17 is likely huge. Mine isn't until 9/17 10pm PST for 3080 FTW3 Ultra. I honestly don't think they have enough in stock to get past 9/17 this week. Maybe not even next week.
My guess is a monthish to get through it. Remember its only one manufacture and split between many cards and I bet many people signed up and I doubt EVGA is getting a huge amount of chips...we will see though
Yea going by that google doc, today they went from the latest announce time signup that got an email being 9/17/2020 7:13:16 AM the other day when I looked to 9/17/2020 7:20:08 AM today on the FTW3 Ultra. Assuming that signups happened linearly (pretty obvious that they didnt, but lets go with that). That's 7 minutes per day. So with me with my time of 8:07 will take at least 1 week plus, and that's just 8:07 AM. And since you can be sure that the signup rate was probably not linear, it'll be longer than that. Unless production starts to climb, its going to be at least a month before 9/18 is hit.

Also EVGA makes more when selling direct to customers. They dont have to offer a lower price to a retailer so they can still sell it at MSRP and make a profit. Not sure how much more, but they are getting full price instead of a retailer skimming off the top.
