Hi EVGA staff, I would so much rather get an FTW3 3080, but my notification time for that was 10/06 at 1 am as opposed to my XC3 queue time on 9/16 at 1109 am. Would it be possible to get the FTW3 email link first when available? 
 
 

Oh man, I cant wait till next week, Time Stamp is 9/24 around noon. Hope I get an email, I need the 3090 FTW Ultra in my rig ASAP! Wife gets my 2080Ti FTW Ultra to replace her StarWars Galactic Empire Titan XP. Loved EVGA since my 8800 GTS's

I am waiting for that XC3 too. Only thing I'm worried about is its thermal performance without a backplate. Haven't seen any reviews on it yet.

Back plates have minimal effect, maybe 1-3C, they can also RAISE temps 1-3C if the design isn't good. So it really has no important impact, don't sweat it.

The lack of reviews for evga cards is concerning but what can we do, this is the only way to eventually get a card.

I mainly care about thermals and noise and asked around in reddit and couple of people posted a RDR2 benchmark using the FTW card , it got to 79c (he didn't say it that was out of box settings or anything) I also saw an asian video on these forums and the dude has the RPMs at 2500 lol and yes the card was in the high 50s / low 60s .

So it seems that the ICX3 cooler is placing these cards in the mid to high 70s which is a little high when the TUF card is avg 63c and even the gigabyte eagle their most basic was 62c (both instances out of box fan profile).

I have a msi trio on pre-order which I'll cancel if I get one of these one first . That card is also avg 73c but at 32dba a bump in the fan curve to 39dba (still quiet enough) gets it to 66c. Wondering if that's the case for these evga cards, again lack of reviews simply don't help.

i think around 7:22AM. ya its moving 2-4 minutes per day. i signed up at 1:31PM and i think i have like 2 weeks minimum to get the email if things keept like that!

11:45AM here, if I get it by Halloween I will be happy...  I got to believe there was a big initial wave from 6-8, then hopefully slowed a bit.

Where are we at on the timing of the releases for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra?

We might have got to 09/17/2020 07:23:00 maybe. A 2 or so minute gain today hopefully a good shipment next week. All we can do is wait. Still, this is the best system to keep out of bots reach for the most part.

I'm okay with it averaging ~70s, just hopefully it's not on the upper end. I have an EVGA 1070 with no backplate and it can get up there in temps if I don't increase the fan speed, but otherwise it stays cool under load. However, in an idle state it's in the 40s, though it's quiet. 
 
Only issue with it is that dust obviously collects on the PCB itself. That being said, I haven't had a single issue with the card in the 3 years I've had it. Has performed above expectations, even in 4K with a few titles between 30-40 fps on relatively high settings (I know not great, but not bad either).

Where do you find out where they are on the email list? I'm 9/17/2020 8:01:59 AM PT

I just ask here or on the Nvidia discord about the last time a person reported an email from EVGA.  From what I know, a person around 7:55am on 9/17 still has to get their email notification.
