killertofu44 I am debating hopping into the hybrid 3080 queue tomorrow to improve my positioning for specifically a 3080. I have a brand new Corsair 4000x case and already have a Corsair h100i elite ready for my 5800x. I was planning on an air card but now thinking if I can do a dual AIO on the Corsair 4000x. Is it possible to exhaust the CPU on top, also exhaust the GPU on the lower front two? This would result in an intake on the upper back and top front.
its been discussed a couple pages before, but if you can, CPU rad up front intake and GPU rad up top exhaust. GPU produces much more heat than CPU.
Same thoughts apply for side case intake? No front mounting option on Lian Li O11 dynamic, but I can mount intake on the side. Kinda ruins the front to back flow coming in from the side.

EVGA is unique in its careful consideration of how to treat its consumers; no other AIB has had a consistent queuing process or other anti-bot effort this fall. They've really gone above and beyond. Best of luck!

chances for backflow are low for the o11 due to placement of the top exhaust vents

pogz321 Yup the 3090 FTW3 ultra hybrid. I used your code too. Keep up the good work. And yes im gonna enjoy it :) Good Luck Everyone !
Thanks for using my Associate’s Code for the 5% discount. I do appreciate it. Again, congratulations!
Medicgarou I was wondering the same thing as far as my case goes .. I have a Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic XL and trying to figure out how long the tubes are on the card, will it fit on the side or would it have to go up top and move my radiator to the vertical side mounts ...
My buddy made it work in his O11 XL. Front/side mount, tubes down. Intake. His CPU cooling solution (Kraken Z73) was on the ceiling of the case. The tubes should be approximately 400mm, but I did not specifically measure them. I hope that helps!
Thanks !! I have 10 Corsair QL 120 fans in the case and hoping I can still use them on the EVGA rad for that whole unified look. I'm very close (less than 6 hours away) in the que so thinking with the way things are going that might be where I end up getting one. Thanks again !

skleidnbfoies Looks like we only have a few drops left before they close for the holidays (and then reopen on the 4th of January)
Was this confirmed anywhere or is this just a guess on your part?

I'm here, in the back, patiently waiting since I only entered the queue for a 3080 FTW3 (10G-P5-3897-KR) on Dec. 11. It's gonna be a looooooooooong ride. But I'm in no hurry since I'm roughly at least 2 months early before my build. Good luck to y'all. I wish AMD had the same queue system for their CPU (especially) and GPUs.

That particular config is probably not the best idea. You would basically be creating a LOT of turbulent airflow by pointing 2 intakes right at each other right across all of your motherboard heat generation. As someone mentioned, there is a part of this thread discussing that a couple or so pages back. In a nutshell, the better option would probably be to have the CPU front mounted pulling air into the case and the GPU up top exhausting along with the rear fan exhausting out the back. This keeps the airflow moving.

Unfortunately, it is likely to move a lot slower than that. You are likely looking at late January at the earliest. Sorry I don't have better news.
Gooootcha. Well, here's to hoping that I score an early queue spot for the FTW Hybrid model.

drewski989 Since we are talking hybrids and queues, if I buy a Hybrid 3080, do I still have the option to step-up within 90 days? Thanks yall!
Step up works for any and all -KR SKU GPUs that are bought from authorized retailers (obvious eVGA.com is an authorized retailer, lol) - just keep in mind, you would only be able to "step up" to either the 3090 FTW3 Ultra, or if it comes out in the next 90 days, a 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra (most likely that's the model they'll put on the Step Up queue). You will not have "options" in terms of model, there will be one SKU only for reach card on the list, that's how it always is - just letting you know that bit of information. overclocked_keyboard Oops. I meant to include that. It's 24G-P5-3987-KR. I'm not buying it. I had a chance to buy one the day it released and decided not to do so. I have a chance now and I'm still not feeling it. The shipping plus taxes pushed the price all the way to $1900. I entered the queue sitting on the fence but I think I've decided not to get it. Good luck to everyone in the future.
RIP you didn't use an Associates Code for a literally free 5% off? Mine came in at $1846 shipped thans to $90 off from using someone's Associates Code during checkout (and having 4 EVGA Bucks to put towards it, otherwise it woulda been 1850 shipped). Funny part is I paid for UPS Ground & got it Monday when it shipped Friday. $25 shipping ftw. killertofu44 I am debating hopping into the hybrid 3080 queue tomorrow to improve my positioning for specifically a 3080.
As I've told many others, highly recommend mounting GPU radiator up top as exhaust & CPU radiator up front as intake, if you cannot fit both up top as exhaust, reasons are in this post: If you have the GPU radiator as intake, yeah you're going to get slightly cooler intake temps for the GPU radiator, but you're going to have higher temps on the entire rest of your system from venting demon-air exhaust from the GPU radiator in to your case. Having the GPU radiator top mounted as exhaust is going to be much better for people that have small cases & can only do 1 radiator at the front as intake and the other at the top as exhaust. The CPU radiator (unless you have a Threadripper or HEDT Intel CPU with high core count, as I said before) is never going to be putting out as much heat as the GPU radiator if they're both under load, because regular gaming-grade CPUs like the 9900K & similar, top out in the 170-200W of heat/wattage output - GPUs range from 320W (if you're running an XC3 3080 Hybrid) to 420-500W (3090 Hybrids). With AIO/Hybrid cooling, the GPU radiator will always be the warmer of the two, so having it setup as exhaust is better for the rest of your system, and having system air as intake isn't going to raise your GPU temperatures THAT much. You might idle a degree or two warmer, and load temps might be 2-4C higher than they would be with fresh intake air... but is that worth your M.2s, CPU, RAM, and the rest of your system being 5-10C+ warmer? I've measured the temperature coming out of a Hybrid cooler radiator before with my 1080 Ti, had a thermocouple sensor that connects to my motherboard setup to read the temperature coming out of the Hybrid Radiator, then used that temperature to control the "push" fan on the GPU radiator's speed, thusly increasing fan speed only when the GPU was under load. I saw that air temp get up to 34-38C at times. Imagine how hot the rest of your system will be running if your intake-case ambient air is 34-38C. That's why I recommend folks do GPU radiator as exhaust & CPU radiator as intake if they only have room to do a setup in that way. Congrats to everyone on their cards that got one ordered or arrived today!

Yes and no. You have to be an Elite Member to be able to purchase it to begin with - the queue for it opens back up (for Elite Members only) tomorrow at 9AM Pacific Time. Almost kinda but not really wish I'd waited to get one of those instead just so I wouldn't be dealing with this power limit thing on the 3090s that are Kingpins, and I definitely don't want to RMA a card just because it's not actually getting to it's supposed-XOC-BIOS-enabled "500W" power limit, when it's performing great otherwise. I haven't even pushed the clocks yet.
