Hello. Any more 3080s coming out before Christmas? I've worked so hard all summer, and I just want to see Keanu's metal biceps in Ultra.

Edit: All summer and fall** processing PPP loans for small businesses here in Alaska. I just really want to upgrade from my 1080Ti Hybrid already.

For anyone looking at getting a Hybrid card of the 3080/3090 variety:

Can confirm tube length from where it goes in to the card, to where it touches the fitting-ends on the radiator is right around or a bit longer than 400mm (can't get exactly exact measurement because of the curve in the lines with it installed).

Can you measure radiator fan and raditor thickness. Read that it was 52mm.

I do not have the stock fans installed, however they appeared to be standard 25mm fans - the radiator is definitely right around or a bit less than 30mm.
Appears to be 55-56mm by my measurement of 1 fan+radiator with standard-thickness EK Vardar fans on it (and I just did it while it was on so I can't be entirely accurate lol)

Since we are talking hybrids and queues, if I buy a Hybrid 3080, do I still have the option to step-up within 90 days?

Thanks yall!

Jacob said in a tweet last week that it was approximately 55mm (fan + rad together).  I hope that helps.

It does help thank you.
Thank you both.

Most rads are 30 and standard fans are 25. There's the occasional special ones like arctic freezer rads that are imba af.

10 SKUs "launched" on 9/16, three of which have queues that still haven't even reached the 9/17 release date.  EVGA: where are the 3881, 3883, and 3895?

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2020/12/15 15:44:38 (permalink)
Ya know, I find it very odd that Ebay has thousands and thousand of RTX Cards from all vendors (currently for sale) , but if you want to buy one retail from anyone else, but Ebay, you cant because there all out of stock... Heck, just search EVGA RTX 3080, then "Sold Items" and there is 2,200 cards alone just been sold, and thats Just one Evga Card, not including Asus, Gigabyte, etc.

Starting to wonder if something fishy is going on here.  Manufactures selling the cards on Ebay through a 3rd party, for twice the value making a killing, then when ever the sales start to decline, get some stock for Retail sale price...  I have been thinking there was just a "shortage of them", but there is a endless supply of all RTX Cards on Ebay.  Hell, the day the 1060ti came out, There were some already on Ebay for sale, WTH??????

I guess Im just frustrated is all.  Cash in hand, but cant buy, and my PCI-E Slot in curranty empty in my PC after selling my 1080ti....  What are your guys thoughts on this????   I did put my name in the EVGA queue btw....Just been a long wait, like everyone else...

EVGA Z-590 FTW, EVGA RTX 3080ti FTW3 Ultra  Core i9 11900K, 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 4000MHz, EVGA DG-86 Case, EVGA SuperNOVA 850G3 ,Corsair 420mm H170i Elite LCD AIO, 1TB WD SN850 NVME,  2TB WD SN750 NVME, 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD, 1.5TB WD Black HDD, Logitech Z5500 5.1 THX, Logitech G910 Keyboard, Corsair Dark Core Pro Mouse, Acer X34P G-SYNC 3440X1440 Curved Display @ 120Hz, Windows 10 Pro

Oops. I meant to include that. It's 24G-P5-3987-KR.

I'm not buying it. I had a chance to buy one the day it released and decided not to do so. I have a chance now and I'm still not feeling it. The shipping plus taxes pushed the price all the way to $1900. I entered the queue sitting on the fence but I think I've decided not to get it. Good luck to everyone in the future.

I am debating hopping into the hybrid 3080 queue tomorrow to improve my positioning for specifically a 3080. I have a brand new Corsair 4000x case and already have a Corsair h100i elite ready for my 5800x. I was planning on an air card but now thinking if I can do a dual AIO on the Corsair 4000x. Is it possible to exhaust the CPU on top, also exhaust the GPU on the lower front two? This would result in an intake on the upper back and top front.

Well, that gives me hope.  I signed up on 10/27 for that same card, so it's getting closer.

I am not trying to fight you or win some argument with you, but honestly, how did they screw up in your mind if you still want to give them your business? The best way to stick it to the man is to take your money elsewhere. If you actually NEED a GPU you can find some older generations on ebay for a reasonable price until you can score a 3000 series. I am still rocking a 980 Ti Hybrid. While I can't take full advantage of my new 65" LG CX, I can play most games just fine with the graphics tweaked down a bit. Honestly, the longer I have to wait, the more time CDPR will have to iron out Cyberpunk. Who knows, maybe even some Ti's will be announced by then!

I'm confused here.

You start the argument complaining about the false and baseless "forced scarcity". Then you use Nintendo as a base to bolster your point.
Then you complain that Nvidia and EVGA screwed the whole thing and how bad they are.
THEN you're claiming the other person is "screwed" for still wanting to look into a new gpu. All while you somehow suggest the person to buy an older outdated gpu in a THREAD , about waiting for the newer 3000 series gpus.
Not to mention that a few people already countered your arguments with facts.

So, What is exactly your agenda or your point?

You are definitely confused because I never made the false and baseless complaint about "forced scarcity". I also never mentioned Nintendo! I also never complained that nVidia or EVGA screwed anything up - I have been defending them. I also never claimed another person is screwed for wanting to look into a new GPU.
The main person you are referring to is JustinGN.  I don't believe he was the forced scarcity guy though. I told him to buy an outdated GPU because he said he NEEDED a GPU immediately and was suffering from it... No one countered my arguments as they were mostly based on the fact that we are currently living during a massive pandemic. Most people added on to my argument, bolstering it.

My point to you is: get your facts straight! Once you do that, you will understand my point to JustinGN.

its been discussed a couple pages before, but if you can, CPU rad up front intake and GPU rad up top exhaust. GPU produces much more heat than CPU.

Artificial scarcity you mean

It isn't artificial if they are selling way more than anticipated and when the foundry companies are at capacity (TSCM doing mostly for cpus of AMD and Apple) and Samsung being a ****ty low yield node hits Nvidia mainly.
This isnt a magical conspiracy. They win nothing by not selling cards. Selling cards i what gets them money.
They do not gain money by selling, as manufacturers and vendors get then at lower than MSRP. Scalpers and some business are the only ones benefiting from the high prices.

Here is proof you have the wrong person...

Hello all, I have my 3080 FTW3 Ultra card incoming this Friday.
I was able to get it at a shop that posts the cards they are getting, when they arrive, and allows you to reserve one of the incoming without any obligation.

My EVGA queue info:

I was about 400 or so deep in the queue.  I have freed this up.
Good luck all.  My watch is over.

In addition to the fab capacity issues, I also saw some info yesterday talking about GDDR6X memory in short supply until probably February.

Seriously considering trying to jump on the Hybrid queue that is opening back up tomorrow.  However, I have 2 problems.

1.  I'm honestly not sure that my case can support another 240mm rad.  I'm really thinking about upgrading my case and simply moving my whole system over, just to get into a new 3000 series card.  Kind of crazy...
2.  Sadly, I actually have an appointment scheduled at 9AM PT tomorrow morning.  I'm sure on my computer I could register in a few seconds once the button goes live.  However, on my phone I'm sure I'll be screwed.

There are plenty of cases that would support both a CPU & GPU having an AIO on them that aren't too awfully expensive, so it's not really that crazy to be considering an upgrade on your case to suit your fancy new GPU.

When the button goes live the site probably won't load for most people for several minutes, usually it's around 7-8 minutes for me before the page/even the 30-series product page list becomes viewable again to Auto Notify for a queue.

Even if you don't get in that queue for say 30-60 minutes, you'll still be near enough to the beginning that you'll get a card much sooner than most of the other queues unless you're coming very close to the dates they're currently at.

Well...  Looks like the case issue isn't actually an issue at all.  I honestly thought my chassis would support another 240mm rad and yes indeed it will.  I have a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe and I simply need to remove the drive cages and I can pop in a front mounted 240mm rad so I'm in good shape there.

Now just to figure out getting into the queue...

I was wondering the same thing as far as my case goes .. I have a Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic XL and trying to figure out how long the tubes are on the card, will it fit on the side or would it have to go up top and move my radiator to the vertical side mounts ...

I was wondering the same thing as far as my case goes .. I have a Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic XL and trying to figure out how long the tubes are on the card, will it fit on the side or would it have to go up top and move my radiator to the vertical side mounts ...

My buddy made it work in his O11 XL.  Front/side mount, tubes down.  Intake.  His CPU cooling solution (Kraken Z73) was on the ceiling of the case.  The tubes should be approximately 400mm, but I did not specifically measure them.  I hope that helps!

Please use my Associate Code at your checkouts for up to 10% discounts on all your EVGA purchases: VDN2319M4O569J4

Here is proof you have the wrong person...

You're correct, I apologize.
I had to double track and yes.. the person in question I was trying to answer is evgaboyd.

I apologize for being snappy. We are on the same side of the argument.
