7:55AM 9/17 for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra, still waiting, seems so close now!

I'm 8.46am for the same card and patiently waiting. Jacob said no more emails today and maybe some tomorrow. I suspect they won't get more this week and we may have to wait for next week. Hope I'm wrong

I am totally fine with waiting a week or two at this point (or a few weeks). I think the queue system EVGA set up is great. Don't have to fret about knowing when the next batch will come and being the first to click through the checkout process. You show intent, get in line, and get to buy the card when it's ready. The saving grace of the 30x0 launch.

Ordered my 3080 FTW3 Ultra earlier today, thank you EVGA! I signed up for notification on 9/17 8AM.

I selected UPS Next Day Air Saver for shipping but can't remember what date it said it would ship. Does anyone who ordered today remember how soon today's stock is shipping out with the fastest shipping option? My order history doesn't say.

i ordered mine yesterday and it was delivered today

Here's the Google list started by someone on Reddit - add your details, as long as you commit to update when you get the card shipped.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FQupXX51TEgUaP4kIZIxVAMkYNDVzwaRbGikv7bGBgY/edit?pli=1#gid=0
note: sometimes you might have to refresh a few times to get edit access due to so many people updating  - currently over 750 'reservations' listed there.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2020/10/07 19:37:31 (permalink)
I've seen a few people ask and there's been no clear answer from EVGA.  Can we please get clarification on this.
It's been said that the Step-Up program is a different queue than the auto-notify queue.

Ok cool, but how does that work with the 1 per Household rule?

Lets say I am in the Step Up Queue for the 3080 FTW, and I get my auto-notify that I can order the card.  It's been stated that they are different queues and I cant 'speed up' my Step-Up Process. So what happens if I buy a card with the auto-notify email?

Does EVGA break the conditions of their Step-Up Program and take away my ability to Step-Up?

Or can I order a 3080 FTW from the auto-notify and then later when I get notice of my Step-Up Program... I can step up my prior card to the 3080 FTW that is currently in process?

Can someone from EVGA actually respond to this?  Forum members responding while nice, doesn't actually answer and confirm how EVGA the corporation will handle this situation.

Don't confuse the Step-Up program as a method for obtaining a 30 series card when it's main purpose is an RMA upgrade to a better card.  Using the Step-Up solely to get a 30 series card is an abuse of the system, but it's allowed because of the requirements in place allows people to do this.  So if you get one for step up (which requires you to give up your existing card) and one for the Notification queue, it's totally allowed.  It's also allowed to get other 30 series card with a different part number.  The 1 per household rule is Per Part Number for retail sales.  Step-Up is different.

Jacob was directly asked about this on twitter and when the person asked about it Jacob confirmed they could step up:
https://web.archive.org/web/20200923232645/https://twitter.com/CarattiniJoey/status/1308902738273632256

This was before the email notification system was put in place, at the time this was the only way to get into any queue to buy a card from EVGA.

I did dig through the forum and find this post, but this was BEFORE the email notification ordering system was put in place, so I'm not sure if this is still valid:
https://web.archive.org/web/20201008025920/https://forums.evga.com/Can-I-F5-buy-a-3080-FTW3-Ultra-today-and-still-be-eligible-for-step-up-of-my-2080-Super-m3086734.aspx

I appreciate your response, but EVGA isn't required to follow forum statements by a member.  That's why I was hoping EVGA staff would clarify.

My statements comes from Jacob answering multiple series of similar questions all the time.  You can theoretically get 2 of the same model: 1 through step-up and another through the notification system because it's a retail sale, followed by every single other card per part number.  I understand your need for validation so maybe EVGA tech will come and validate it at some point.  I've just seen Jacob answer so many with the same response it actually hurts to see so many people not bothering to read his previous tweets and replies for answers.

I wonder how many 3080 ftw cards evga gets per shipment. If you look at the crowd sourced spreadsheet looks like only a handful of people got cards from the new system today and yesterday. Granted who knows how many people did not contribute to the spreadsheet.....

I read through every comment in this thread... all 1400 comments... and didn't find a clear answer by EVGA staff.   Jacob is very active on twitter, but I went ahead and I read back through 2 days of his comment and didn't find an answer.  If you have a link to where he's answered this question before, please share it with me.

This is a perfect example of why an FAQ would be really helpful. This question isnt listed in any FAQ that I found.  If it's out there, please link me to it.

You have already entered for a notify on the following date/time: 9/16/2020 5:06:04 PM.

Looks like I was wise to auto-notify all the items after the F5 festival. Do we receive an email when we setup auto-notify? I never received anything and wanted to make sure everything is good to go to receive my email :)
