I do think that they will do something...but I don't think it will be early 2021.  That is just too soon to get it right and I think everybody involved would like to avoid a repeat debacle.  Additionally, from what I can tell AMD's launch inventory is de minimis, so it isn't like AMD is going to be grabbing huge market share if they take their time.

Reading through the thread...I saw at least 3-4 drops of the 3070’s...is that the 3070 Ultra or the 3070 XC3 black? Because I’m waiting on my 3070 XC3 black and although I haven’t received an email yet, I wanna know if the queue moved for those since a lot of people either ordered or removed out of queue.

3070 drops today? On the 3070 XC3 Ultra so far.  I couldn't tell you how many units vs how many people cancelled their auto-notify prior to receiving an invite to purchase email.  I think that is your question.

It is worth a 5% discount on your gpu purchase.  My Associate's Code is VDN2319M4O569J4 and is available by clicking here, but there are plenty of associates in this channel whose code is available in their signature block.

Good luck on your hunt for a card!

Associates get "EVGA bucks" which we can spend on EVGA items available on this site.  But the trade off is that we cannot use a code to get a discount.  (In addition to the 5% discount, the codes give 10% discounts on cooling solutions, cases and PSUs.)  There is a page that explains it all at the top of this page (https://www.evga.com/associates/).

So today was a happy day I got the notification for the 08G-P5-3755-KR my time was 10/29/2020 6:10:37 AM PT so I order it and because I live in Canada I have to deal with pretty high shipping cost I believe it was $72 usd and now I just got an email saying I’m gonna owe around $76 usd in import fees which I honestly wasn’t expecting I was expecting maybe $30 if any after reading up on other people’s experiences with import fees, now I am not as happy. Obviously not evga’s fault but still a bummer.

What shipping did you chose? According to UPS's website, linked below, there is no charge for "Entry Preparation Fees" "For shipments arriving via UPS Worldwide Express Plus, UPS Worldwide Express Freight, UPS Worldwide Express Saver, and UPS Worldwide Expedited Services"

There are bond fees but you can avoid them if you contact UPS when you get the shipping notice and pre-pay the taxes. I thought the bond fee was only $10, perhaps they charged you more? You would have had to pay taxes on the shipment too, GST and PST or HST.

reporting in post-install of the 3070 XC3 Ultra. This thing is fast! And the background noise reduction feature is really cool so far. I'm coming from a GTX 1070 so the difference in performance at 3440x1440 is significant so far.

On the install beer side of things, my Vitamin Sea Double Autumn IPA went down great.

Best of luck to everyone going forward! Never give up, never surrender!

So, I am about ready to give up on the movie Dave, as not everybody has received a card today (again, paraphrasing that delightful movie).

As of 1:45 pm PT today, as best as I can tell, here is the state of the North American queues (bolded font represents movement from this morning's summary table; italicized parentheticals calculate the length of the movement):

     Card                                 SKU                      Auto-Notify Date/Time

I don't hold out much hope for further drops today...but I have been wrong before.  And hope springs eternal!

If EVGA opens on Friday, I will have a summary table for the thread Friday night. I will still be here for the duration today.

Happy Thanksgiving if you are in the United States!  Happy belated Thanksgiving if you are in Canada.  And...if you are elsewhere...have a great week!

Good luck on your watch!

Not the same thing.  Imports into Canada are essentially taxed.  It is called Duty. Those are separate from bond fees or what not.  The concept is if you buy it in Canada you pay sales tax on it.  If you buy it from outside Canada then you have to pay the sales tax when you ship it in.

I'm not sure if anyone at EVGA checks in on this thread but if they do please pass along our gratitude to the workers!

I'm sitting here thinking about Thanksgiving and how eager we all are to get our new GPUs. It's a very "first World problem" we have and I especially hope the assembly line workers know that their hardwork is very much appreciated.

Also, again, shout out to the people at EVGA that came up with the queue system. It's by far the most fair and consumer friendly way to handle such unprecedented demand & I hope other companies take notice.

Just received my 10G-P5-3885-KR order invite, and successfully ordered it. I will remove myself from the other queues when it arrives.

Congratulations!  Enjoy your card and maybe lay off the caffeine until it is properly seated.  Thanks for participating in this thread!

Haha, thank you. It'll be hard to function without my daily espresso IV drip, though.

Last Thursday or Friday I predicted that the XC3 would catch up to and pass the FTW3 Ultra once it got through its launch day congestion and it has, despite having substantially fewer drops.  I have very little doubt now that it will beat the 3080 FTW3 Ultra to the finish line at the end of the queue and the margin will not be close.

Well said.  EVGA has been fantastic throughout this crazy launch period and the queue is a stroke of genius.  Our occasional constructive feedback (not always written with the nicest tone, admittedly) is just that -- feedback on the worst system we have for buying 30 series cards...except for ALL OF THE OTHERS.

Thank you EVGA and Happy Thanksgiving; we are very grateful for all that you do -- both in the US and around the world.

reporting in post-install of the 3070 XC3 Ultra.

I'm also currently on a 1070 with 3440x1440, sadly I have a long wait to get a new card. Do you think a 3080 would be the better choice since either way I'm probably waiting a few months before I can even find any card.

Thanks for the heads-up.  That so would have triggered me that my F5 finger would have broken the splint in which it is currently recuperating and reinjured itself.  I don't need another workers' comp claim this Tech Launch Season.

Doom Eternal is $19.79. 67% off. I’ll probably buy that.
