It's tax. You have to pay GST and PST. UPS pays it at the border and passes it on to you at delivery.

 
And it's still cheaper then the scalpers.

Agreed, UPS was quite reasonable and I only paid about $15 in brokerage fees on a 3080 Ti. Best is to always expect that you will have to pay tax on your purchase.

Seems an odd system EVGA wouldn't charge the tax at time of invoice but rather have UPS do it when it crosses the border ? I guess I' don't buy many things from the states so I have never noticed this before. 

EVGA is an American company, they are not authorized to charge Canadian taxes as they do not pay taxes to the Canadian government.

In 2 weeks I will reach 1 year of waiting to buy an EVGA GPU. Ah I forgot to say that i'm from europe :)
Most of users from here waited between 2 weeks and 3/4 months (USA).
But for europe... that's another story... We need to wait between 3/4 months for a GPU.
I think I'm the most unlucky here :) almost 1 year.

Well, i'm on queue from 2020 December :) and still waiting  :)

You're not the only one. Im from the US and have been on the list since Jan 2021 and still waiting. Hopefully this new system will address the backlog and get everyone a card. Fingers crossed we don't have to wait a year.

Hey Crome, does this mean you received an invite today for Europe? If so, would mind sharing which part number and timestamp, please?

I think you ordering from UK (and it being no longer part of EU) is irrelevant. Since EVGA no longer have a warehouse in Europe, they charge the respective VAT for your country at the time of purchase, and then the courier company handles the documentation with customs (it will appear in invoice). Courier (DHL) might want some forms filled - they will e-mail well in advance. You will be not charged VAT twice.
Maybe someone from UK who went through the process will chime in to confirm, but I think it is perfectly safe to go ahead.

Im sadly still waiting....Turned one year yesterday. I would say I am getting close but I havent seen any movement on these lately:

Home made vanilla vodka /maple syrup laced whipped cream.
 

Can we get a recipe for that? Sounds like the perfect topping to my adult beverages.

Okay I use Tito's vodka 1.75 liter bottle.
 
I buy 48 sticks of vanilla beans from amazon grade a  I like Madagascar 
 
poor 3 oz of Tito's in a glass.
 
spilt 48 sticks of vanilla beans drop them in the Tito's bottle til the all fit. you may need to pure more vodka out to get the sticks to fit.
 
Now the hard part.  screw the top on the bottle pull it in the Fridge for 60 days and shake it a few times a week.
 
in sixty days you have amazing dark brown color vanilla vodka.
you can strain the vodka into a few mason jars.
 
This is now basically super quality vanilla vodka and or vanilla extract.
 
now buy good heavy whip cream.  I prefer any grass fed organic brand.
 
1 pint cream
2 table spoons of  a good maple syrup
1 table spoon of the vanilla vodka
 
 
  mix it in your mixer
 
 
Short cut is buy 
Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract, 4 ouncesShady Maple Farms Maple Syrup, Og, Gr A, Dk, Gl, 12.70-OunceOrganic Valley Ultra Pasteurized Organic Whipping cream 1 pint.
 
 
the second method is merely very good. but you can make it quickly.
 
the Tito's method takes 2 months to make the vanilla vodka now you do have 1.75 liters of it

This is the first time I post in the forum, I´ve been looking for a 3080 or 3080 TI since the release of the 30 series.
I´ve tried in a lot of ways, discrod alerts, newegg suffles, etc, but none succeded. I heard about the system of EVGA but didn´t take the step till now, can someone give me some advise on how to enter the notification system? I can´t find anything that allows me to enter the notification system.

The queue entry buttons have been disabled until current queue members have been notified.
Your best bet will be to try entering the queue for any new SKUs that may be coming (the rumored Super model next year).
In the meantime, keep trying those other methods, as the queue is not a guarantee that you will get a card.

I signed up for the RTX 3080 FTW3 in November of 2020. It's been 1 full year now and I'm still waiting.
Just checked my notification status and it still hasn't been sent, so I'm assuming I'm still on the list.
 
Is anyone else from November of 2020 still waiting or have they really not even reached that part of the queue yet?
