I'm sure there are many more factors involved. They have to stay competitive and I personally wouldn't like to see a hampering in the time frame of new hardware releases. I'm sure there will be plenty of used 30 series cards going around by that time given a new release. Some might not be very used at all ;) A side note would be that if FE cards are no longer in production, maybe that will mean more chips for EVGA's production? Maybe?

I just noticed on the newegg shuffle today that they are selling 3080 Ti cards for more than what they are going for on ebay brand new.
after these supply shortages are over, I'm pretty much done with newegg for good.
evga has gained a ton of brand/customer loyalty with this queue and their attempts to get cards in the hands of actual users, soo I'll stick with them
Newegg is hit or miss. I was selected in the shuffle for a 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra at MSRP. The only downside was that I was required to buy a $60 PSU I’ll never used except maybe to power my pump when performing water cooling maintenance. At least I was able to get one of the top cards I was after, so I can’t complain about that.

It's not just Newegg. If that's your breaking point, you're going to have to not buy from a lot of other retailers and companies as well. Interestingly, EVGA's cards stay around their MSRP on the shuffle, where Zotac, MSi and Asus are way over theirs. I don't think Newegg is entirely to blame here.

The PSU is a semi-modular 700w 80+ bronze (EVGA 700 BQ). It’s not a bad PSU, just that I don’t really have a use for it. Also, the modularity is quite limited. There’s only one PCI-E connection, for example. I suppose I could use it for a nostalgia build if I ever felt like making one because it’s the kind of PSU I’d have bought 10-12 years ago. As far as the Newegg shuffle is concerned, I’ve been keeping on eye on it. And yeah, their prices for cards other than EVGA are atrocious. I don’t know if they’ve got an agreement with EVGA or not, but they always list the brand’s cards at MSRP. Well, mostly at MSRP. I’ve seen the 3090 FTW3 Ultra go for $1929.99, $30 above EVGA’s price. Not as horrible as the 3080 Ti for $1999.99 that you mentioned. That’s a hard pass for me too.

I suppose it's still nice to have the option to enter the shuffle though. Even if most of the stuff is overpriced or bundled with useless extras. I've heard that every once in a while something good will go up, or the bundle will actually be good. Newegg Canada does not have a shuffle, so I have not had the chance to partake.

I live in Georgia and ground takes 5 business days...if you get your order in before 5pm EST and select UPS 2nd day air, it will most likely arrive on Wednesday...if you do UPS ground, you are looking at next monday...I don't recommend the 3 day select option because I've had things shipped on a tuesday and didn't arrive until the following monday

wow NA queue that card is at 12/01/2020 7:35:17 for both kl and kr
NA is also months/weeks ahead for many other cards :p

There has been an interesting development in the EU front, some users managed to get their cards by changing back to the KR only queue. For that reason I have added a new line to set this queue apart from the KL lines, a word of warning, dates on this queue go back and forth as more people join.

So you get to choose what que you can get into?
You can get into all the queue if you wish, except for those that are elite only (if you do not have elite). There is no harm in auto notifying for all the cards and if one comes up for you, then you cancel the rest. Some of the queues have not moved in quite a long time, but you never know what will happen in the future, so you might as well get in all the queues. Hope this answers your question.

My daughter turns 3 years old tomorrow and my son turns 2 day after tomorrow. Almost a year in the queue and I’m seconds or a minutes away on a few of them. I did revert back to kr on all sku. Let’s hope tomorrow is a better day.

Yea, there have been a bunch of people who missed the 8 hour mark, contacted them via email/phone and were able to order it. Judging by how quickly you caught it, you should be fine. Good luck!
